Batter's P.O.V.

Emma walked out of her house with blood staining the front of her shirt. She didn't say anything as I helped her back onto the roof. Nevertheless, we continued our rooftop run. I made sure to keep my little brother close to me at all times. In all honesty this was a lot of fun! I mean, this is probably the closest I will ever get to park our. But then, it happened. I took my eyes off of my brother for one second and all hell brakes out. A scream, shock, action, a noise, silence.

My brother screamed out for help when I looked away. He was already too far though. I reached for his outstretched hand along with Gaby, who was close by. My eyes widened when my fingertips barely brushed against his, but I still missed. That was the most miserable feeling I had since, well, ever! As his hand slipped farther and farther away, more and more tears built up to blur my vision. All the streets were flooding with the dead so it was impossible to help him. It didn't matter anyways. The impact of the fall managed to snap his neck, lulling him into an endless sleep. Then everything was quiet, except for the sound of the raised tearing his body to shreds. I dropped to my knees with tears streaming down my face. My mind wasn't working. I was trapped in a dark hole with no way out. Then I heard a voice. It was Gaby. She was talking in a motivational voice, saying, "We can't be weak in this world. No matter what happens. You're gonna see a lot of traumatic things, some you wish to forget but can't no matter what, and some that gives you motivation to keep on surviving. But know this. Even if the whole world is screwed up, someone really cares about you, so you must survive. To survive you can't be weak. You must be strong, strong enough to give others the strength to survive!" Suddenly my tears stopped and time resumed once again. I finally noticed that the others were calling me to keep moving. I wiped my eyes clear and stood up. I took a deep breath and told myself 'this world won't allow weakness, so I must be strong. Not just for myself, but for my friends who will always be there for me. Even when I am a pain in the a**!' I turned towards everyone with a newfound power surging through my veins. "Let's go!" I said with pride. I won't let my brother's death be in vain.

Ringleader's P.O.V.

Bobo recovered from here emotional and mental hole. I felt so proud that she listened to my words of wisdom. I caught myself smiling uncontrollably. I also found myself saying, "That's my girl, now let's move!" Everyone nodded in unison and off we went to our future. Wether it be filled with hatred and malice or a bright future where everything turns out okay. Whatever is thrown at us, we're prepared. As long as we have each other it doesn't matter! This is the world we belong in. Wether we like it or not!

To be continued...

-note- it's short I know! But I was up all night from being paranoid of something I accidentally saw and took advantage of it to continue the story. Don't be mad! - pancake out!
