It's barely sunrise and I already hate life. My ankle has gone numb from blood loss. I can't tell if that's good or not. Either way, I have to move on. I slowly slide off the tree, receiving a few splinters in the process. Blood stains the cork of the tree. I sigh at my gory display. I turn away and limp off deeper into the woods. Blood still trickles down my leg but in more of a gooey jelly instead of a river. It feels gross as it clings to my pale skin. After walking for like a minute, I immediately get tired and start panting. The world spins slightly and I take that as a sign to slow down. I ease into a near standstill but I still move slightly. I look back to see a trail of clotting blood that fell off. I hope the earth swallows it before someone sees. I look away and continue my limpy walk.

It's been an hour of stopping, then going, then stopping, then going. Sweat drips off my face as I lean against a tree for support. I pant heavily as I try to mop up the blood with a rag from my backpack. I then remove the piece of my shirt from my leg to reveal a very bloody and horror movie scene like injury. It was all swollen around it. Purple and blue bruises surrounded the crime scene. I winced and tied a clean rag around my leg. It stings because I put some alcohol from the town on the rag. What, it was a just in case list item. Anyways, after I'm patched up I continue on my trek to Narnia or anywhere else that will leave me alone.

I'm grounded. Literally. We already made a first floor to the tree house and they won't allow me in. Also, I'm on constant surveillance. I'm not allowed to step anywhere near the edge of our 'territory'. Right now I'm eating a strawberry salad. The strawberries are a little old but still good. Today, Larry and Bobo are going to town to scavenge. I want to go too. But I'm stuck here, eating my strawberries agonizingly slow. After I finish, I rest against the main tree. My eyelids get heavy as I drift off into a blissful sleep. I awake to screams and blood. My eyes snap open as I take in the view. Raised. But they were connected to chains held by dirty disheveled figures. It was dark out and only the torches lit the way.

I look around to see that My mother and siblings are tied up. I try to call out to them but my voice is muffled. I look down to see that I'm tied up as well. I struggle to get free. This alerts a mysterious figure. He shuffles towards me, discarding the raised. I panic and stop my actions. He stops too. I stare at him. Eventually he leaves, and walks straight towards a tied up Bobo. She struggles with all her might, but to no avail. The figure creeps up to her and picks her up. He then proceeds to walk away. Bobo screams, unfortunately it's muffled by the gag. I lower my head as to not see the pitiful attempt of an escape it was. I somehow manage to pass out during the commotion.

When I came back from scavenging everything was fine, but then. They came out of nowhere. Demanding we pay them so that we can live here. Of course we said no and that pissed them off. They left without a word deep into the woods. I thought, well hoped mostly, that that was the last time we would see them. But it wasn't so. It was sunset and everyone was getting ready for dinner when it happened. They returned, but with back up. I tried to fight them back but failed. They speared me in the side. When I dropped to the floor they speared my legs too, pinning me down. I laid there in agony as I watched the destruction helplessly.

After they disabled me, they attacked the others showing no mercy. Blood was spilled. People were tied up. Someone was raped. I'm not kidding. I couldn't tell who it was since I was loosing consciousness. All I know was that someone was dragged to a secluded area and was touched by a dirty figure. They couldn't scream or call for help. I passed out before anything else happened.

I had fallen a few hours ago and the pain was too great to allow me to get up. So here I am, covered in mud and blood. Hah, that rhymed. I curled up into a ball. If anyone was to come by, I would just look like a lump of mud to them. I cry silently, believing either I'd be eaten, die of starvation/dehydration, or the infection will murder me. I cry harder realizing I never told Emma one last "Luv ya!" I try to curl even tighter. My ankle hurts. I continue to cry until I get a headache. It hurts so bad that I eventually pass out.

I wake up to a raised standing near me. I don't react. I'm pretty much dead anyways. It looks around and eventually walks away. I'm a little upset that it didn't eat me. Could have made things quicker. To be honest I never meant for things to get this bad. I just wanted to make sure that I didn't hurt the others. I smile thinking that they're probably safe. My smile fades when I hear screaming. I try to look around but to no avail. I risk unimaginable pain as I attempt to sit up and stand. I was right. It hurt like hell. I bit my tongue hard enough to draw blood. Well sh*t. That doesn't help. I force myself to stand. I look towards where I heard the scream. It came from the direction I was running from. I sigh. I just had to think didn't I. I reach into my pocket and pull out my shiny brass knuckles. I always make sure that they're clean and sharp. I slip them on and start walking. Well, shapely limping while trying not to fall again kind of walk. I'm coming home.
