Ringleader's P.O.V.
Last night was only the beginning of the nightmare. In the morning the whole base was surrounded by raised. This means either a lot of people just randomly died or a herd from another town just blew in. This also means we can't stay here any longer, besides, we raided almost all the stores and restaurants here (We even tried McDonalds). It's not safe here anymore, well it never really was. But it's our town that we know and love. After everyone praise the sky for me being alive we had a meeting. When I said we had to leave town, everyone flipped. Larry literally flipped. He like, used the couch to support his flip. He landed on his a** but hey, it's the thought that counts. Mal and Jen refused to leave the town, no matter the circumstances. "Our families died here, and we will go down with them. " Mal spoke for the both of them as they were filled with 'determination'. I nodded an approval but was caught off guard by what Emma said. "I'm not leaving this town until I know for sure what happened to my family." I was left speechless by her words. Are you kidding me. If we don't leave soon we'll die. Larry didn't care about his family, mainly because he believes that they would survive. Holding onto that sliver of hope he agreed that we should leave town.
"No, Elijah won't last out there! He's autistic, he wouldn't understand!" Bobo objected to protect her little brother. "Then we leave him!" I hissed through clenched teeth. I was getting peeved that no one saw the danger we were in. Bobo's eyes widened as her jaw dropped. "Leave him?! The hell kind of option I that to leave my brother?!" Bobo yelled. I slapped her across the face, successfully shutting her up. "I suggest you keep your voice down unless you want all of us to become raised lunch. And for the record we only leave him behind if he slows us down or shows signs of extreme weakness." I spoke with venom dripping off my voice. Bobo lowered her he'd so that I couldn't see her face. "I understand." She spoke barely above a whisper. "Good." I said in a softer voice. Bobo flinched.
Cathy was silent the whole time. Probably remembering when she found her dead mom. She kind of lost it back then, but she managed to pull through. Now, back I Emma. I turned to her with a menacing look on my face. She didn't even blink. "I'm not leaving until I know what happened to my family. " she restated her earlier claim. I dropped the menacing look and sighed in defeat. "Alright, fine. You win. We'll head to your house before we leave. " Emma's face brightened up at this as she smiled sweetly. "Thank you!" She homed as she walked away from the meeting circle. Everyone also dispatched from the meeting. "I didn't say meeting adjourned but whatever." I sigh as I walk over to the window. I look out to see a sea of raised. I sigh again. "How did this all get so bad?" I whisper to myself. I end up falling asleep on the window sill.
When I wake up its dark out. Confused, I get up and look around the room. Everyone was asleep, with no one on watch. They are begging for death right now. I face palm and walk back to the window. I'm surprised to see no raised. Did they just leave? No, maybe they got tired of trying to break in and decided to look for other survivors. Not that either. Well, I give up. I wake up Bobo to take watch. She does as she was told. She must have thought I didn't hear her cuss me out when she headed towards the window. I let it slide though, especially after what happened that day. The next morning we all prepare to head out. With our packs filled to the brim we say our goodbyes to Malisson and Jennifer. They wish us luck and a safe journey. We thank them and leave Fort Bobo.
The streets were filled with raised again so we went out back and got onto the roof. I had to carry Sam-Sam up the ladder. We thought the best way of travel would be rooftop running. We hopped from roof to roof until the block ended. Then we would hop down and rush to the next building. We finally reached Emma's house. It was easy to spot since there was a big a** tree in the front. Emma was the first to the door. She kicked it in, no time to think of consequences. What we saw was a nightmare. Blood smeared on every wall. A corpse right there in the middle if the couch room. Emma Ruhr in to find a raised eating her dog in the kitchen. She grabbed a knife that was on the floor and shoved into the back of the raised's head. She was silent. I knew that corpse. It was her little sister. She rushed to the back of the house to find another raised. It was her grandma. The only door that was closed in the house was the bathroom. Emma walked up to it and knocked. On the other side I could hear sniffling. Someone was probably crying. Emma knocked harder and demanded that they opened the door. When they obliged we were met with a horrifying scene. More blood was splattered everywhere. In the bathtub was a little boy, covered in bite marks. A chunk of his right arm was missing. His head was heavily bleeding an I could see a rib poking out of his body. It was Emma's brother. He was softly crying.
They spoke to each other very quietly. I couldn't hear the conversation though. Then all of a sudden Emma pulled out her pocket knife and stabbed him in the chest, then the head. His body went limp as he took a final, and shaky breath. Emma was silent. She stood up and turned to us. "Well, it's bit safe here anymore right? So let's move. " Emma spoke with little to no emotion. I nodded as we headed out the door to where Bobo was waiting on the roof with her brother, Cathy, and Sam-Sam. They helped us back onto the roof and we were on our way again. We didn't really have a destination. We just wanted to get out of the town. I was worried about Emma. She has been silent ever since we left her house. I mean I would be upset if I had to kill my family, but she's really starting to scare me. I can only hope that she is all right. I let yet another sigh escape my lips. "You alright?" Larry asked me. "Yeah, it's just that, things just got so complicated so fast and I don't know what to do. " I just let it out as vague as possible. "Don't worry, no matter what happens I know you'll make the right choice. You are Gabberdink after all." Larry speaks with a gentle voice. I find myself smiling at his encouragement. "Thanks, I needed that." I speak in a soft voice. Larry nods and we continue forward into the unknown.
                              To be continued...
-note- I had to add the Undertale easter egg (not really Easter egg) in there! I mean, I fit perfectly into the story! The next update will be about the trip to McDonalds because why not! -pancake out!
