Samurai's POV
When I woke up, everything seemed normal. Birds were singing. Flowers were blooming. On days like these fries like Gaby, shouldn't be rotting in a casket. As soon as I remember, a single tear rolls down my cheek. I wipe it away and get up. Sam-Sam sits up at my action. She looks at me. I pet her head and walk off. She follows. Even though we just lost a close friend we still need to survive. Bobo and Cathy are out on a run to find a better casket, a shovel or two, and if they can't find those, hopefully some food. I really hope they get food anyways. I decide to take Sam-Sam on a walk. I walk towards the tree line. Before I reach the edge, I hear a squelching sound. I near the trees and hear a snap. I peek through and see a gory display.
It was Larry. He lied there with his chest cavity completely exposed. His ribs jutted out in every direction. A lung hang half out, still connected to his body. Blood spurted every now and then. His eyes are wide and bloodshot with a look of shock thickly evident on his face. His intestines were sprawled out all around him. He was just entirely drenched in blood, and look what was sitting next to him also covered in blood. A raised was eating his heart. It didn't even look like Larry, but I could tell it was him by his blond hair, the copious amount of freckles, and his professor glasses.
The raised noticed my presence and tried to stand up. I backed up a bit. It's legs snapped as it tumbled to the ground. It was nearly a walking skeleton. It was so thin you could see the white of its bones. I pulled out my pocket knife and swiftly stabbed its skull. It cracked and blood flowed out the fresh wound. The body went limp as I dropped it. I did the same action to what's left of Larry. I look down at him with pity. He didn't even get to say goodbye. Neither did Gaby. I bite my lip as I turn and walk away. We can go on a walk later.
Batter's POV
Emma told me about Larry. I checked the scene and was greeted by a horror film. There was blood and guts everywhere. I ended up being the one to clean it up. I threw up half way through it though. He must have been distracted by the loss of Gaby. This is just terrible. This isn't what Gaby wanted. Not at all. I sigh as I sit down to take a break from dragging away the corpses. The dead should stay dead. That's that.

The bodies have been discarded and now in trying to mask the scent of death. It's not easy. I try a bunch of different methods but none work. Finally I just have Sam-Sam mark the territory. She didn't seem to mind. It's about time for brunch now. I head towards the others to see them already eating strawberries with nuts. I join them immediately. Brunch was over seconds after it began. I went back to work with building the treehouse. It wasn't too difficult but it wasn't easy either. At least Cathy is there to help me out.

Samurai's POV
It was sunset when I decided to actually take Sam-Sam for a walk. My mom has been taking care of Willow recently. Sam-Sam seemed excited. That's good to know that she's strong enough to move on. We walk for a while, then I hear rustling. I was about to check where it came from but then I hear a low groan. My first thought was raised. I was correct. I try to locate it but it seemed to be getting further and further away from me. I brush it off and head back to camp. Everyone was going about their usual business. I go visit Gaby's casket. I had found a wild flower and picked it earlier. I place it on top of the casket and walk away. The sun slowly sets as I sit against a tree, staring off into space. Time just flies past me as I zone in and out of reality. Wow, deep.
Anyways, when I come to, it's dark and the torches have been set up. I look around to see a very sleepy group. They yawn occasionally and rub their eyes. Why don't they just go to sleep? Eventually they do. I watch over the camp I their unconsciousness. I scan over the surroundings and listen into every noise there is in the night. All is quiet and calm. I take advantage of this and decide to rest my eyes for a second. Before I know it, I'm knocked out. When I wake up everyone is in an uproar. I rub my eyes tiredly and look around. What? There are raised everywhere. They completely surround us. There are no openings. WHAT THE HELL?!?! HOW THE F*CK DID THIS HAPPEN?!?!
I jump up from my spot in the ground and make a mad dash for my sword. As I reach out for the weapon laying against a tree, a raised grabs my leg and trips me. I fall to the ground and look at the raised. It's tugging at my leg, trying to bite my ankle. I use my other leg to kick it away. Once free, I reach for my sword and grasp the scabbard. I yank the blade out and aim it at the raised. They slowly close in on everyone. I slice the top half of a raised' head off it goes limp and falls to the floor. I make a small path to reach Bobo and Cathy. Once there I ask them, "where's my family?" They point to the treehouse. I nod and race to it. Before I can reach it, I notice the scent of burning wood. At first I believed it was just the campfire. But when I look at the treehouse I see flames licking at it. A torch had fallen and caught the tree on fire. I panic and race up the rope. Once in I see my mom and siblings. Then I see Willow, she's crying pitifully. I motion them to get out. They listen to me and race out the burning wood box. I follow shortly after. I look around for Bobo and Cathy. Once I spot them I clear a path for us. We rush towards them to see another horrific scene.
