                              Ringleader's P.O.V.
I was the first to wake up that morning. I didn't bother telling anyone where I was planning on going. I just jumped off the tree and grabbed my brass knuckles after I put my hair up into a low ponytail. Larry was awake by then but didn't say anything. I don't look anywhere near him and just go on about my business. By the time I'm all at and about to head off, Bobo wakes up and questions me. "Why are you up so early?" "Someone has to make sure you won't die." "Where are you going?" "Out for a stroll." "Are you going by yourself?" "I'm capable of taking care if myself, so yes." "Why are you leaving?" "I'll be back." 'No I won't.' I voice in the back of my head speaks to me. I get a headache when it talks. I try to ignore it. "Are you done interrogating, because I would like to leave now." I say trying to sound bored. "Let her go." Larry actually ends up speaking. I know he wasn't saying it to help me out, but instead to hope I will get hurt. I don't look at him and just start walking towards town.
Bobo called after me to come back but doesn't follow. I zone out and walk blindly, relying on my instincts to protect me. I reach the town in no time and see how it's in critical condition. I come back to reality and walk in. I look around to see a mostly deserted ghost town. The raised are probably around the corners or in houses. I don't stop walking as I look around and admire the wreckage. I reach a house with a ladder on the side and climb up. Once on the roof I sit down and look over what's left of Shadow town. I hear something walking and look down to see Sam-Sam. I sigh an climb off the house. Once on the ground I kneel next to her and pet behind her ears. The closes her eyes blissfully and whimpers softly. I smile slightly and get up. I continue to walk blindly around the ruins of a surviving town. Sam-Sam just walks at a ready pace right next to me.
After a while I a road with a bunch if stores. I hear rattling from an alleyway and shortly after, a man runs out desperately. He run right into me. "Please, you need to run! It's not safe, save yourse-" He doesn't finish his sentence and drops to the ground dead. A knife was lodged into his chest. My knife. I cut off his sentence. I murdered him. I couldn't help it. He was annoying and weak. Yes, that's it. Weak. The same goes for Elijah, and Emma, and Larry too. They're all WEAK! A smile creeps its way onto my features. After it appeared, it wouldn't go away. I yank the knife out if the man chest only to have a spurt of blood splash my face. I laugh. Then I continue on my way while it starts to rain.
I found a young woman at the back of a store, hiding. When i found her out, the door she was hiding behind was locked. Well, I always have the key to any door. I kick the door with all my might and it pops off if its hinges. She screamed bloody murder as I walked in. I slowly turn to her with a wicked grin plastered on my face. Her eyes were wide and she was breaking out into a cold sweat. I could hear her rigid breathes echo in the small room. I kick her down into the ground. She let out a yelp. I grab her by the hair and yank her up. She squeezes her eyes shut. I raise my fist and deliver a large blow to the left side of her face. The spikes poking holes into her flesh. She screams out in pain. I let go of her hair in turn for her neck and continue to punch the living hell out if her while I choke her. Her screams were reduced to gurgled pleas. Then silence. I drop her limp corpse to the ground where a pool of blood begins to form. I walk out casually, as if nothing happened. There I find Sam-Sam waiting for me near the entrance of the store. I killed the few raised that her screams attracted. I leave, silently laughing to myself. The sound of the rain falling reminding me of the sound of the blood on my hands dripping.
After going around killing any civilians I find, I get bored and begin to walk home. By then I was soaking wet, but I didn't care. Sam-Sam walked along side me, wagging her tail slightly. I found a red balloon in a store where a group of people were hiding. After killing them all I grabbed the balloon, filled it up, attached a string, and tied the string around my backpack. The balloon followed me everywhere I went. Like a friend. I eventually began talking to it, expecting a response. But all I heard was the annoying voice at the back of my head, trying to tell me what to do. I was getting a headache and by headache I mean head splitting open ache. I ignore the voice as best as I could and walked towards the exit of town. The voice got louder and louder the closer I got to leaving. It hurt, but I kept on walking. Once I walked over the border if town and country the voice shut up. My headache dispersed. I sighed happily an continued walking.
Sam-Sam padded next to me with a small bounce in her step, which I found adorable. It was still raining but it was getting thinner and thinner the further away from town I walked. The balloon still followed me. The deep beautiful red shine brightly in the rays if sun that peeked through the clouds. Once I reached camp I was shocked at what I saw. Emma was standing there with her mom and little siblings. She was hugging Larry while everyone watched. My eyes widened as I stared in complete awe. She lived. My smile that had kept such a good job of staying on my face disappeared. In its place stood a slightly agape mouth of shock. I was still covered in blood and rain. My clothes were dyed red, along with my hands and face. Droplets would fall very now and then. My back pack slowly slid from my shoulder. It hit the ground, still holding into the balloon tightly. The thud caught everyone attention. They all looked shocked at my condition. I didn't say anything as I dropped to my knees, gripping my head.
My headache came back, only worse this time. I stared at the ground. She survived? Was that supposed to happen? What do they think of me now? Do they hate me? Are they afraid of me? Should I run? Should I stay? Am I the one who is truly weak? At that thought I burst into tears. I let go of my head an hug myself. I was afraid. I didn't know what to do. I just sat there on the ground, pitifully crying to myself. Eventually I felt arms wrap around me. My trembling went down a bit but I continued to cry. Before I passed out from the pain of my headache I heard a voice. "I'm sorry."
                              To be continued...
