Jackie's POV

Michael and the guys aren't doing anything today so they asked me if I'd want to go out with them today. To a late lunch, then maybe a movie, and Mike suggested a club tonight. While doing my makeup I'm listening to pandora as I do every morning. I'm not doing too much because when we get back tonight I'm doing eyeliner for the club. The music stops and my phone starts ringing.

"Hello?" I answer while finishing my mascara.

"Hey honey." It's my mom.

"I haven't heard from you in awhile. How are you?" For months we would text each other everyday, but I haven't spoken to her in a few weeks.

"I'm ok. I just called to let you know that I have filed for divorce and I'm living in an apartment near our old house."

"I'm so happy for you!" I set the mascara down and pull my legs up to my chest. "Did anything happen for you to make the final decision?"

"Not really, just we were arguing all the time, and everything he's ever done to you kids. I couldn't just deal with it anymore. I'm sorry that you and your brother had to go through that for so long. I feel terrible."

"I've gotten over it, and Jacob has said that he doesn't care anymore."

"Oh you two are still in contact?"

"Ya we talk almost everyday, and I've been seeing him instead of my other therapist."

"Good, good." She pauses for a second. "Before I forget the postoffice called when I was packing up last week and said that you have a po box with them?" I completely forgot about that. "They said that it hasn't been in use in almost three years and you have mail in it and they asked if I wanted it. I took it and I was going to ask you about it."

"Do you still have it?" I hear her on the other end opening drawers.

"I don't actually, I mailed them to you the other day and they should actually be there sometime today."

"Thank you. Did you sell the house yet?"

"It's on the market, and a couple people have looked at it but I'm really just waiting for him to get his stuff out."

"Do you remember who the mail was from?"

"I think there was one from the government, one from Niall, and a couple from Syracuse college?" Niall?

"Thank you, I'll pay for the shipping." There's a knock on my bedroom door. "Here hold on one second." I cover the bottom half of my phone. "Come in!" I hear the door open then close and Michael comes into view.

"Sorry am I interrupting?"

"No, I'm just talking to my mom."

"Ok, I just came to ask which movie you'd wanna go to. There's a couple showings this afternoon, and if we leave soon we'll be able to get some food first."

"I'm gonna leave it up to you to chose what movie we see, we're interested in the same stuff. Just let me just finish up with my mom, then get changed and I'll be down." He nods then leaves.

"Am I keeping you?" My mother asks on the other end.

"I'm just going to eat with a few friends. Your not keeping me." I get up and put her on speaker and set my phone on a shelf in the closet. I start to change as she tells me things going on with her sister, and her job. I slip on some black flats with my dark jeans because I kind of want to wear heels tonight to the club.

"Do you still have the cat?" I ask grabbing my phone and setting it on the dresser as I look for some rings and bracelets.

"I'm allowed to have small animals here so I have him with me." I put on a wooden bracelet of Niall's and a few rings that I own.
