I feel something hit my face. I groan and turn over as an immediate reaction. I feel it again and reach behind me in an attempt to hit whoever is doing it. I make contact with something, and I hear them walk away. Just as I nuzzle my face back into my pillow I feel something cold on the back of my neck.
"What the hell?" I shoot right up. Ben is standing next to my bed with an ice pack in his hand. "What the hell are you doing?"
"Flight to Syracuse. Remember?" I groan and flop back down to fall asleep. "Did you even pack yet?"
"Haven't had time to. I just found out I was going yesterday. Remember?" He grabs onto my blanket. "Wouldn't be smart." I say holding it up to my chin. He sighs loudly before letting go. All of a sudden there's a blinding light. "Fine! I'm getting up! Happy?!" I yell covering my eyes with my blanket.
"Yes. Come down stairs when your packed and ready." He leaves without turning the light off. Dick. I get up, trying to shield my eyes, and turn the light off. I take a quick shower then throw on some sweatpants, and one of Niall's shirts. I pack quickly, making sure I grab everything I need. Clothes, shower necessities, charger chords, my laptop, and anything else that came to mind. I put my phone and wallet in my pocket and my headphones around my neck before carrying my small suitcase down the stairs. Ben takes it from me when I get close enough and carries it out to the car for me as I slip my sneakers on. I slip a zip up on before tagging along behind Ben.
"I didn't think about Raph." I say, locking the door.
"Don't worry. I gave Lisa my key and she's going to let him out and feed him while we're gone."
"If you already gave Lisa your key, then how did you get in this morning?" Heading down the road he stops at a red light. Even though there aren't a lot of people out right now.
"I took your key before I left. You were out of it you didn't even notice. I put it back this morning when I got there. Did you sleep?" He turns a corner and I can see the airport up ahead.
"Not much. Maybe an hour?" My eyes are fixated on the moving buildings passing my window. I think I'm a little hung over, but I've never drank as much as I did last night before.
"Are you ok?"
"Ya, I'm fine. Why?"
"Are you still taking those pills?"
"Yes?"
"Shit." I look at him this time. "Aren't you supposed to not drink while your on those?"
"It was just once, and nothing happened lastnight did it?" He doesn't say anything so I take it as a no. "Then I'm sure just doing it once won't hurt."
"Have you taken them this morning?"
"No." He glances at me. "It's fucking six o'clock in the morning. I'm not taking drugs at six in the morning. Anyway I'm supposed to take it before I eat something and I'm not hungry."
"You can't take them later though, can you?"
"Probably not. I'll just be a moody bitch today. Not anything you haven't seen before." We pull into the parking lot. "Did you sleep?"
"Ya I did. I went home and packed, then I slept for about two hours. I told you to sleep." He pulls into a spot and we get out. The baggage check felt like it took forever. Then we went through the metal detector. That went fast, seeing as we didn't have much on us. We got to our terminal with a few minutes to spare and got our seats in first class. Niall's doing. I do the whole buckle up thing, but as soon as we're high enough I unbuckle and put my headphones on.
"I'm gonna try to sleep." I tell Ben.
"Good idea." I put shuffle on and close my eyes.
