Jackie's POV

I woke up a little too early this morning and let's just say I was not a happy camper. Not that I'm ever a happy person in the morning anyway. I got up though and let Raph out. I spent some time with him before I left, and since I left early I decided to get coffee at the coffee place around the corner.

"Hey! It's the birthday girl!" Ben shouts when I walk in. Rolling my eyes I give him a hug.

"I thought you'd be on your honeymoon with Lisa."

"She wants to wait a month and do it on the week of Valentines day."

"Well that's cute."

"I guess." He shrugs. So sarcastic, this boy. "So how has your moning been?"

"Horrible, honestly." I set my stuff down at my station and start to set up. "I woke up at six this morning. At least I'm getting my coffee."

"Have you talked to Niall yet?"

"No, why?" He hesitates. "Spit it out."

"He gave me this before he left. He wanted me to give it to you on your birthday. I'm sorry, I couldn't wait any longer." I smile at him as he hands me a bulky envelope. He gives me a look as if telling me it's ok to open it. I slide my finger under the flap. I carefully take the things out to not crinkle them. There are two plane tickets to Syracuse New York, and two tickets for a Syracuse college basketball game. Their court side too. I look at the peice of paper and it had Niall's writing on it.

'Happy Birthday babe! Because you love college basketball so much I'm giving you two tickets, and two plane tickets to New York. You can have a friend go with you (even though I know your going to take Ben.) I hope you have a beautiful birthday, because your a beautiful person. Love, Niall'

I look at the tickets closer and the plane tickes are for tomorrow. The tickets for the game are for the 27th. I start to silently freak out and I grab onto Ben in a hug.

"So what is it?" He asks as I'm still hugging him.

"Do you like college basketball?"

"Sure, why?"

"Wanna go see my favorite team in two day?"

"Really? Where?"

"Syracuse, New York."

"I'd love to. When are we leaving?"

"Tomorrow at seven am." He nods, smiling. "I'm going to go call Niall." I take my phone and step into the back parking lot. It rings a few times before he picks it up.

"Hello?"

"Hey babe."

"Hey. Happy Birthday."

"Thanks. I didn't wake you up did I?"

"It's fine. I'd much rather hear your voice." Now I wish I just texted him.

"Now I feel bad."

"Don't."

"Thanks for the tickets." I smile and wave at John as he steps outside for a second.

"He gave them to you?" He sounds a little upset.

"Ya, right when I walked into the shop."

"He was suposed to wait. It's fine though. I'm glad you like them. So, who are taking?"

"I thought you already knew?" I ask smiling a bit. I'm just happy I get to hear his voice.

"Ben?"
