Chained Night

Three weeks.
He's been in that house for three weeks now. And within those three weeks, Edward had never done something as horrible as he just did. The blonde had been sleeping, on the floor of course, and a nightmare had awoken him from slumber. He laid on the ground for a few moments, shaking with fear, as his empty golden eyes ran across the room in paranoia.

He made sure not wake his sleeping Master as he did all this. The boy found himself curling into a ball under the blanket that he had given by his Master, and tightly clutched the pillow. Some tears trailed down his cheeks, and Ed hurriedly wiped them away with his sleeve. He decided to do something very risky, and slowly, stood from his spot, his tail waving slightly.

He quietly walked towards Roy's bed, and slowly, laid down, next to his Master. As quiet as he tried to be, Roy felt movement on the bed, and slowly his eyes fluttered open. It took him a couple seconds to realize what Ed was doing, and that the boy had been crying. Once he realized this, his caring side took over, and he hugged the blonde close.

This sudden movement scared Ed, so he flinched. Once he realized that Roy was only trying to comfort him, Ed relaxed into the embrace, and let himself cry into Roy's chest. The man didn't mind. He gently pet Ed's ears, and shushed him gently. Roy, himself, knew something like this would happen one day, so he wasn't surprised.

Eventually, Ed's cries died down, and Roy looked towards him, when he felt the neko's gentle breathing. The raven haired man smiled a bit, and gently kissed the top of Ed's head. "Sleep well Ed." He whispered before laying down, and holding the boy close to him as he drifted off into sleep.
