Love And Chains

Three months have gone by since Edward became a citizen of Amestris. Envy was thrown in jail for his crimes. Apparently, he had murdered three others in addition to being an slaveholder.

Now, Roy and Ed sat, enjoying a day out together. The boy, now sixteen, had gotten a part time job at a local library. Everyone there, adored him, and his love for reading.

"The bookshelf almost fell too! But luckily, I was there to help to keep it up." Edward mused, telling his boyfriend about his day at work. The raven chuckled in reply.

"Seems like you're doing well." Roy stated. Ed just grinned at him.

"Course I am!" He replied. After Edward had gotten his freedom, he had told Roy about his younger brother, Alphonse. He had been determined to find him, since the two were separated by slavery. The raven man had agreed to him, anyway he could. The two continued happily talking, until two very familiar voices could be heard.

"Brother?"

"Ed?" The blonde's ears twitched, and he turned around, to look at the two people behind him. And when he did, he felt himself freeze. In front of him stood a teenager, with short golden hair, and gentle golden eyes. He was dressed in a plain white shirt, and jeans with a pair of sneakers. Next to him, stood a taller women, she had soft, chestnut colored hair.

Her eyes, just like the boy's had a gentle green gaze to them. She wore a purple dress, and an apron. She had been holding two bags on each of her arms. Roy had watched as Edward looked at them.

"A-Alphonse....? Mom....?" He mumbled, tears forming in his golden eyes. They smiled at him, and the neko broke into a sprint towards the two. Trisha, the mother of the two, had hugged him close to her.

"Oh Ed....I'm so glad you're alright..." She whispered. Alphonse grinned.

"It's been a while Brother!" He exclaimed. Tears had been streaming down Ed's cheeks.

"I can't believe it..!" He exclaimed. Once the three had calmed down, the two brothers couldn't stop smiling. Thankfully, Trisha and Alphonse didn't ask about the blonde's sudden kitten like appearance. Ed looked over to Roy, and ushered him over.

"Hm, who's this?" Trisha questioned. Edward blushed a little, and his mother could already tell. "My Ed, you've found yourself a...man." She said, smiling a little. Edward looked at her.

"You're...okay with it?" He asked. She nodded, still smiling at him. "

Of course I am Ed." She replied patting him gently on the head. Alphonse looked at Roy.

"What's your name Sir?" He asked. Roy smiled a bit.

"I'm Roy Mustang. It's nice to meet you." He greeted.

"Trisha Elric. And this is Alphonse." Their mother replied. Ed smiled, as he hugged them again. Seeing his family again, it was a hard feeling to describe. Not everyone's life could be as perfect as the blonde's. And throughout everything that Edward Elric had been through, he learned to appreciate every single moment.
