As we pull up into the school parking lot, I could tell that Alice was happy that we would have another person in town. I do not understand her. She drives me nuts, I do hope that she will find what she promised me. My mate.
Flash Back:
I was finally running away from Maria and her army of newborns. I headed towards a bar, since I am thirsty, and haven't drank in awhile. When I entered the bar, I instantly saw something that interested me. Another vampire.
"I've been waiting for you." She said, turning around. She had black, spiky hair, with red eyes. I could tell that she still has her own blood circling through her system.
"Sorry ma'am." I apologized. How did she know that I would be here though?
"I had a vision that I would meet you here. Along with us, meeting up with others of our kind and making a coven of our own. We would be hunting animals, and we wouldn't have to hurt humans."
"What else do you see?" I asked, curious. She could be hiding anything from me.
"You'll find your mate if you do come with. You'll finally be happy. You'll have a family, and a kind girl who will love you no matter what happens."
"Is that garenteed? She will always be there for me? I won't have to worry about not loosing her?"
"As far as I know. I don't see anything about you loosing her. I don't know if I can even see that far ahead into the future. All I know is that you'll be happy, isn't that what counts?"
End Of Flash Back
I haven't found her yet, but Alice says that she is out there. A little over fourteen years ago, she told me that my mate was born. She wouldn't tell me where, but she told me that. So, my mate is a fourteen year old human girl. That is all that I would ever be able to gather up from Alice.
"Hey freak!" I hear Lauren Malory say to Riley, a fourteen year old, who happened to skip two grade levels. She is quite smart for her age, which is a good thing. The only sad part is that she is never treated right. She has been bullied since probably before we even came here.
"Hey bitch." Came her response. She never takes the way that they talk to her seriously. That's a really good thing about her, she always knows the right way to react.
"What did you call me?" She asked. I don't even know why they believe that they should make her life hell, she'll only push right back.
"Bitch, but I don't think that bitch really suits you. How about whore, or slut?" Lauren tried to punch her, but her form was wrong in so many ways, it didn't take much effort for Riley to know her down.
I turned and Edward was laughing at my thoughts, it's just a human girl, that's the only reason why he's laughing. I'm obsessing over a human girl who looks like she should be in middle school, and I guess she should considering her age. There's something about her, the way that she never gives up a fight. That's something that I just feel like I should get to see more of.
