Edward decided that he would be the one to go and pick up Bella. Probably a good idea since, I can't stand her blood. Along with Rosalie, who hates her and if Emmett picked her up, then Rose would be mad at him. Also, he's her boyfriend, so that she be how it is.
We had already picked teams when they got there.
"Good, you're here. We need an umpire." Esme told her.
"She thinks we cheat." Emmett interrupted Esme.
"I know you do. Just call them as you see them." She instructed her, and left to join her team.
Rosalie was up to bat, and Edward caught it, and I could feel her anger towards Bella.
Emmett got a ball by climbing up a tree. But it got more interesting when Alice stopped mid throw.
"Everyone stop!" She yelled. We all ran over to where Bella and Esme were. "The nomads, they changed their path." Alice told them.
"They must have heard us playing." Carlisle suggested.
"I'm so sorry," I heard Edward tell Bella. We shouldn't have even invited her if there was any chance of nomads being here.
"Like that will help, I could smell her from across the field." Rose commented about how Bella was told to put her hair down.
Then the vampires appeared. There were two men and a women. The women was shorter than the men, and had red hair. The man leading them was an African American man, and the other was a blond.
"I believe that this belongs to you." The leader said, tossing the baseball to Carlisle.
"Thank you." Carlisle replied nicely.
"Could you use three more players?"
"Of course."
"I'm Laurent, this is Victoria, and James." He introduced them.
"I'm afraid your hunting activities have caused something of a mess for us." Carlisle told the nomads.
"Our apologies. We didn't realize the territory had been claimed."
"Yes, we maintain a permanent residence." The nomads all looked at us in surprise.
"Really? Well, we won't be a problem anyone."
"The humans were tracking us, but we led them East-" The wind blew, and Bella's scent was released.
"You brought a snack." James snarled, I could feel how hungry he was, how much he wanted Bella's blood.
"The girl is with us." Carlisle informed the nomads, we all went into a defensive stance, that way, we would be able to protect Bella.
"We won't harm her." Laurent tried to end the situation.
"Just try" Emmett wants to fight them.
"I think that it's best for you to leave." Carlisle suggested.
"Yes, I can see that the game is over. James?" James eyes didn't leave Edward's. Laurent put a hand on James's shoulder and they turned to go back into the forest.
"Get Bella out of here, we'll follow them." Carlisle told Edward, well, this day went well.
