New Moon Chapter 6 (Back In Forks)

Alice called me a few days after I was moping around the cabin I've been hiding out in. She said that she was with Bella, Edward, and Riley in Volterra, Italy. Why would she take them there. As soon as I got to our home in Forks, I was the last one to arrive.

Alice filled us in on what happened. Edward wanted to kill himself because he thought that Bella was dead, and then the three girls went to stop him.

How dare they take Riley with them. They didn't need to. She shouldn't be involved in this.

Alice also told Riley about why we left them, and that I do really love her. Alice also told us about the brothers proposal.

Edward decided that it would be a good idea to bring the Swan's over. That way, they can decide.

"You all know what I want, and I know that some of you are against it." She turns and looks at Edward. "So the only way that I could think of that would be fair, would be to vote." I look at Riley. I do want her with me for eternity, but if she doesn't want that, I will go with what she want.
"Bella-"

"Shut up." I could feel Emmett's humor spiking. "Alice."

"I already consider you my sister, so yes." Alice bounced over and hugged her.

"It would be nice not to want to kill you all the time, so yes." I said. I felt Riley spike with concern about what I had to say.

"I wouldn't want this life for myself. So I wish there was someone who could've said no for me." Rosalie said. I know that she missed Bella, and she does consider her to be part of the family, but she doesn't want someone to suffer the life that we live.

"I say hell yeah." Emmett came up to Bella and gave her a big bear hug. "WE can pick a fight with the Volturi some other day."

"You are already considered my daughter." Esme replied. Only Carlisle left.

"Why are you doing this to me." Edward doesn't want Bella to join us. I think I know what Carlisle's answer is.

"You refuse to live without her. I will not lose my son."

"What about Riley?" Bella aased.

"NO!" Rose shouted. "Riley will not be turned, she needs a chance at life."

"Riley won't be turned for a few more years. She will get a little chance at human life." Alice tried to reason with her, but I could feel Rose's anger. She sees Riley as a daughter/little sister. She doesn't want this for her. Rose left the room, and slowly everyone left. All except me and Riley.

"Edward is taking Bella home." I told her. I didn't know what else to say. "Do you think that you can forgive me?" I asked quietly.

"For what?"

"For leaving you?"

"Why would I be upset?" Do I really have to explain it to her?

"I love you and left to protect you. I thought that you would hate me once we came back." I lower my head to look at the ground. I don't deserve to look her in the eyes.

"I would never hate you, I couldn't hate you."

"I kind of wish you would." She stood us, and gave me a big hug. When I put my arms around her, something didn't feel right. She wasn't this boney when we left.

"Riley, how much weight have you lost?" She looked at me and I could feel that she was worrying.

"Not a lot, really it was only a little bit-" She should know that I am not going calm down from this.

"Riley, how much. I know that you weighed one hundred pounds a couple months ago." The others came into the room, but I couldn't focus on them. Riley is all that matters.

"I weigh seventy three pounds." I grabbed her, and tried to be as gentle as possible, and brought her to Carlisle's office.

"You are very unhealthy." Carlisle told her after examining her.

"Tell me something I don't know." She replied snarkily.

"Riley, this is serious. You shouldn't be weighing this little. This will hurt your body. It can kill you."

"What have you been doing since we've been gone?' I asked.

"I've been running a lot in the woods. I've quit school, dance, and swimming."

"And how much have you been eating?" Rose asks from the corner of the room.

"Full meals, none. Snacks, a few."

"You're staying here for a while. Until we can get your weight back on track." Carlisle decided. I took Riley to my room so she could rest. I know that she'll be okay, but I can't help but worry about her.
