Riley and I walked in from being on another date. But as soon as I walked in, I felt Bella's pain.
"It's just a sprain." Carlisle said to Bella, wrapping her hand. "It should heal fairly quickly."
"Trying to walk and chew gum at the same time again, Bella?" Emmett teased her.
"I punched a werewolf in the face." She corrected him.
"Please tell me it was Jacob?" Riley asked, I could feel the hope pouring out of her.
"Yeah..."
"YES! That son of a bitch deserves it." She said excitedly.
"Calm down, darling." I tell her, wrapping my arms around her and using my powers to calm her down.
"Badass, You're going to be one tough little newborn."
"Tough enough to take you on." Rose had a lot of anger about how Bella is choosing to become a vampire, and I know that she doesn't want this for Bella or for Riley.
"Don't worry about it." Emmett told Bella.
"Got any leads?" Edward asked, changing the subject.
"No sign of the intruder, but Victoria continues to make appearances." I tell him.
We continue to talk into the night about the army.
