Edward came and gave me some news after he met with Jacob and Bella. Riley was hit by a car. It did some damaging things to her body, and now she's in a coma. I can't help but feel devastated. The doctors wouldn't let me see her, she was in surgery, and they weren't sure if she'd survive.
We already know that the battle will be massive, but with the vision that Alice had of all the newborns coming, I'm kind of thankful for the wolves help.
"So...you're the one that's dating Riley?" A woman's voice said from behind me.
"Actually, she's my fiance. And you are?"
"Leah, I used to watch over Riley when she was a kid and Charlie and to work."
"Nice to meet you."
"Please tell me that she's safe."
"Safe from vampires, yes. Death, no."
"What do you mean?" Leah asked, concern written on her face.
"Two days ago, she was hit by a car. The doctors had to put her in a medically induced coma."
"Let me guess, you're doing to take your anger out on these vamps?"
"I'm betting you're going to do the same."
With that, we leave each other, getting ready to start the fight.
