Eclipse Chapter 11

The battle has begun, we are all ready to die to protect the town and our people. My training was a good idea for my family, but it wasn't enough. Soon enough, the wolves came in, they were tearing apart the newborns into pieces.

I soon saw Jacob, he reminded me that I have to talk to him about how he hurt Riley. And I would like to break a few of his bones while I'm at it.

A wolf is soon taken down by a newborn, and I run over there, taking out as many newborns as I can while I'm at it. I lunge into the air, and ripped off the head of the vampire.

The overall battle was a success, one of them didn't want to fight against us, so she joined us.

"How long?" Edward asked Alice, probably about a vision she had.

"A few minutes. Maybe ten?"

"The pack needs to leave. The Volturi won't honor our truce with the werewolves." Carlisle said. A lone newborn then runs out of the forest, and Leah attacked it.

"Leah, don't!" Edward called out, rushing to help her. But he wasn't the only one. Jacob bolted over and knocked the newborn off of her, but ended up breaking his bones from when the newborn wrapped it's arms around him.

"Jacob!" Bella yelled, running over to him. From across the clearing, his pain is excruciating.

"The bones on the right half of his body are shattered." Carlisle announced.

"We need to get him out of here." I heard Edward say. "We're not going to want to fight with the Volturi.

"We'll take him to Billy's." One of the wolves says.

"I'll be there as soon as I can." Carlisle promises.

"Hang in there Jake." Bella says as the werewolves surround him, picking him up and running away.

"They're coming." Alice warns about the Volturi.

They came into the clearing, and looked shocked to see the burning pile of newborns in the center.

"I'm impressed. I've never seen a coven recap a battle the magnitude of this attack." Jane says, not sounding impressed at all.

"We were lucky." Carlisle tries to convince her.

"I doubt that."

"It appears we missed an entertaining fight." Alec, Jane's twin says.

"Yes...it's not often we're rendered unnecessary." Her distaste is easy to hear, without using my powers.

"If you arrived a half hour ago, you would've fulfilled your purpose." Edward says to them, not considering what he is saying.

"Pity...you missed one." She said, pointed at Bree. We all walked over surrounding her.

"We offered asylum in exchange for her surrender." Carlisle tried to reason with them.

"That wasn't yours to offer. Why did you come?" She asked. When Bree was to scared to answer, Jane used her power. I felt the pain Bree was feeling, and I wished for it to stop. "Who created you?"

"You don't need to do that. She'll tell you anything you want to know." Esme says, trying to stand up for Bree.

"I know." Jane smirks

"I don't know. Riley wouldn't tell us. He said our thoughts weren't safe."

"Her name was Victoria. Perhaps you know her." Edward implied.

"Edward, if the Volturi had knowledge of Victoria, they would've stopped her. Isn't that right, Jane?" Carlisle defended the Volturi.

"Of course. Felix."

"She didn't know what she was doing. We'll take responsibility for her." Esme offered. She didn't lose anyone she knew today.

"Give her a chance."

"The Volturi don't give second chances...keep that in mind. Ciuas will be interested to know she is still human." Jane said, pointed towards Bella.

"The date is set." Bella told her.

"And what of the other human?"

"She's in a coma, in the hospital. Her date is also set." Carlisle told them, I could feel Bella's shock at the news of her little sister. I wasn't surprised though.

"Take care of that, Felix. I'd like to go home." Felix went over to Bree, and killed her. And there was nothing I could do about it.
