At dinner, I used my fork to move around my food, not eating anything.
"Not hungry?" Max asked.
"No," I replied, but I was starving. "Can you show me where I'm sleeping? I'm just going to bed."
"Sure," Max said.
He stood up and took me down stairs, where Amber was tied up by the feet and arms on the couch. I took a step back, horrified. I thought she was dead, but then I saw her chest slowly go up and down. Thankfully she was just sleeping.
"Why is she tied up?" I asked annoyed.
Max hesitated.
"Alesa wasn't sure what to do with her. She knew she did walk in with you but she didn't know if she was the one that gave you the giant gash, so she made me tie her up after she visited you. What was her name again?"
"Amber." I almost lost my temper.
"So, "Amber" didn't refuse but she did have a lot of questions." Max laughed. "She's a great person."
"If she is such a good person," I clenched my fists, "how come you tied her up"
"Don't ask me," he put up his hands innocently, "Alesa would have killed me if I didn't."
I sighed, trying to cool myself off. I took out a pocket knife I stole from the table and started to cut free my best friend. After I finished, I handed back the knife, and climbed up the bunk bed I was going to share with Max.
Hours later, I heard Max climb into the lower bunk. I just stared up at the white ceiling. What would have happened if I didn't go with my father to minecraft?
"Hey Maddy," Max whispered.
"Yea," I whispered back.
"'Night."
"'Night."
Ok so I'm STARVING and I'm at a friends house and we're waiting for her dad to come back so we can go to this new place (for me) called "match box". Sooo yea. Tell me in the comments Wut you think of the book!
