*max's pov*
What? I thought. Holding my hands against my mouth, trying not to cry out. There's... there's no... no way... I felt myself start to shake.
"Why..." I whispered.
I grabbed her hand, and ran my thumb over the red and blue scars. Tears started to paint my face.
Come on Max. I told myself. Maddy's bleeding everywhere. You have to help her.
But I couldn't. I sat there frozen in time. Horrified what I saw in front of me.
You have to do it Max. You have to help her. I told myself.
I forced myself to look away, and grab a cloth, and clean up her blood. By the time that was done, I grabbed a new cloth, and lifted her tang top just to the bottom of her ribs. The color that used to be there, was stained in thick, crimson blood. As I started to wipe her stomach down, I noticed there was a pattern. Starting to realize what it was, I worked faster, left to right instead of up and down. When I finished, I knew my assumption was right.
"It can't..." I whispered.
I started to shake more violently. I heard the front door open, but it was muffled when I realized who it was.
"Hey," Jacob said. "What did you-"
I heard his steps stop cold. He dropped something. He started to breath heavily, gasping for air.
"I-is t-that-" he started.
I nodded.
"Is s-she-"
"No," I whispered. "Not yet."
"Then what are you waiting for!" Jacob yelled at me. "She might be dying and your just standing there!?"
"Because," I whispered. "She's practically already dead."
"What do you mean?" Jacob came closer.
He sat next to me, and took a swift look at Maddy. Blood was already starring to smear the letters.
He put his hand on my shoulder, almost knocking me off my ankles.
"You don't think..." I started.
"No," Jacob said. "I've never seen someone that would do this."
"Then who?" I whispered shakily.
I realized that the only reason why they put the message on her stomach is because her arms were already scarred. It wouldn't fit anyways. Engraved with knife slashes in her stomach was a message.
I found you.
*Amber's pov.*
"Do you know why Jacob would just go and leave like that?" I asked Alesa, eating my stake with my hands.
Alesa shrugged.
"Aren't you worried? Even a little?" I asked stunned.
"Not really. It's probably just Barney needing him for something."
Anger swelled inside of me. I put my steak back on the plate.
"Excuse me, I'm just going to walk home." I said getting up.
"Walking from here to the house would take an hour! Do u want me to call a cab?" Alesa asked.
"No, I'll be fine. Just stay here and Finnish your meal."
Alesa just shrugged and continued to eat her steak. I wiped my hands on the napkin, and stormed out of the place they called a 'steak house'. Noticing a bridge not too far away, I jogged toward it. After I made sure I wasn't it eye shot of anyone, I let myself go numb and closed my eyes. I felt my soul spread out, and regroup a few moments later. I slowly opened my eyes, and let out a sigh of relief knowing that it worked. I spread out my wings, and flew into the sky. I soared above the blocky trees, passed the village, passed the lake, and finally to the mountainside when Maddy and I first started to dig, looking for the stronghold. I peered inside. Everything was dark, but I felt no presence in the damp cave. As I stepped inside, I felt a strange aura around me. Something isn't right.
Thank you so much for reading another chapter! So BTS' new music video came out while I was writing, and things happened and I got so sad. And BEFORE that, TheJP20 (who you should totally check out) finished his story which made me sad. And, AND, the story ended really sad. So I'm so emotionally unstable right now XD but it's for the books! Hope everyone has an awesome day, and I'll see you all around.
Be brave.
Stay strong.
Always shine.

To find the lost sky
FanfictionFinal part to incredibly cringy story series. Looking back at the book, it was really dark, and messed up. There's a lot of "uncomfortable and triggering" thing in here, so I advise those types of people not to read it. I was in a really dark place...
