*time skip to around noon, Sunday*
*my pov, at the mall*
I swung my bags of clothes next to me, and continued walking with Alesa (apparently my mom ish?) and headed toward the car.
"Hey," she said. "Sorry we didn't get a lot of clothes. Money's been a little tight for us ever sense Adam went missing."
"It's ok. As long as we can still look for him," I smiled. "You promised me we would look for him after we did some shopping.
"I remember, I remember," she said as got into the car. "Where do u want to look?"
"I don't know. Where was he last?"
"He was on the pier, near our old house at the bay."
I nodded. "Let's start there."
Alesa parked the car, at the selling house, and lifted the worn out crime scene tape. We walked to the end of the pier, and sat down at the edge of the wooden walkway, our feet reaching out to the deep blue water below.
"This is where he was?" I asked.
Alesa nodded. "He was upset you disappeared. We were having dinner one night. Someone said your name and he left the table. I watched go to the pier just so I can check on him once in a while. He needed some more alone time, so I left him there. I was getting ready to join him ten minutes later, but he disappeared. All we found was his shattered phone on the shore."
Alesa started to tear up.
"Then, after a month, I got a p-part time job at this 'family business.' Th-they assaulted me, and left. That's when we had no money, a-and Max let us stay in his apartment with Tim and Ross."
She started to heavily cry into my shoulder. I was underly shocked.
"I-I was g-going to tell you," she said between sobs, "but t-then you l-lost you memories-"
"It's ok," I comforted her. "Everything's going to be ok."
Alesa wiped her tears on my shirt.
"How can you be so sure?" She asked. "You start your first year in high school as a Junior tomorrow, and your so calm."
"I just know it'll be fine." I said. "We'll find a way."
Then I remembered something. Alesa was sitting next to a man I don't know in the hospital. I had crutches, and I looked six years younger. I sat next to her, and told her it was going to be ok. I blinked it away, and decided to write it down later.
*tine skip to bus stop (Monday)*
I gripped my backpack strings and ran over to the bus stop. I decided to wear a casual, grey and pink long sleeve shirt, with a part of the shoulder cut off, and some jeans. I had my black ear buds in that I "found" from Max's bedroom, and started to play a bunch of new songs I listened to before the accident.
As I got onto the bus and chose an open seat, on of the senior girls started to talk to me.
"Get out of my seat," she said harshly.
I kept to listen to my music, pretending not to hear her.
"Didn't you hear me?" She asked louder and pulled an ear bud out of my ear. "Get. Out. Of. My. Seat."
"Stop holding up the line," a person what looked to be a sophomore said.
"Just pick a seat," the bus driver implied. "What's the going on?"
"This new junior stole my seat," she pouted.
"Does it matter? CHOOSE A DIFFERENT SEAT!" The bus driver said angrily.
"Fine, but you don't have to be so rude about it," said the senior.
Her friends started to mumble to me as the walked by.
"Looser."
"Scared?"
"Annoying brat."
Finally Jacob got onto the bus ad sat next to me.
"Hey," he said. "Something bothering you?"
I just shook my head. So much for staying low.
"Don't you want to sit next to your friends?" I asked. "I don't mind."
"And ditch you on your first day of high School? Nah. They'll be fine without me."
I left the ear bud out, but kept the other in. Jacob started to lecture me about the school, and the rules, and what juniors can't do, exc.
"And make sure you don't get left alone with any boys your age and above," he warned as we got pulled into the school entry. "You never know what they want from you."
I nodded and waved good bye. "See you at lunch!"
*time skip to lunch*
I sat next to Jacob and his friends. I noticed most of them were on the football team.
"So," one of them asked, "are you going to try out for any sports?"
I thought about it for a second.
"Well," I blushed, "I kinda want to try out for the football team."
"What!?" Almost the entire table stood up in shock.
"Your going to get crushed. Your so tiny!"
"Well big things come in small packages. Don't underestimate anyone." I calmly started to eat my sandwich Ross got me, and immediately spit it out.
"Ross put mustard and relish in your sandwich?" Jacob asked.
I nodded.
"Don't worry, he did the same to mine." Me and Jacob started to laugh, but was shortly cut off by the senior pouring her juice on my shirt.
"Oops," she said with full intention of spilling it. Her followers started to giggle.
"Maddy-" Jacob started.
"It's fine," I tried to calm myself down. "I'll just be in the bathroom, cleaning up."
I calmly got up and left to find the bathroom.
*time skip to inside. Sorry for the short time skips*
"I can't believe it," I muttered to myself as I tried to clean the stain with a wet paper towel. "A new shirt to. Alesa worked hard for this money. All of this for what? A seat on the bus?"
Then I heard the door open, and five seniors along with the girl that spilled the juice on me came in and surrounded me.
"What should we do with her Aubrey?" One of the girls asked.
They started to touch me in my hair, and clothes.
"Well definitely teach her who's boss," she started. "A good tearing of clothes, and a hair cut might to it. But let's just throw in some punches to be sure." They all started to laugh.
I slapped the scissors out of one of the girls hands.
"Leave me alone, and I'll do the same."
I tried to keep my anger in.
"Is that supposed to be some kind of threat?" Aubrey laughed.
Another girl reached out to touch my hair again. I grabbed her arm, twisted it, and shoved her to the ground. Another swung at me, but I ducked and kicked her hard in the chest, which send her flying into one of the bathroom stalls. One of the girls jumped onto my back, but I bent down, and threw her off. There was only Aubrey and two others, who looked terrified. They started to slowly take steps backward, before starting to sprint as far away as they could. I looked at the three girls. They only had a few cuts and two were only winded. With a final look, I left the bathroom and walked back to Jacob and his friends.
*time skip(AGAIN) to after school at the house*
I opened the door of the small town house. No one was home because Max, Tim, and Ross were out looking for a house and Alesa and Mason were looking for a job. Jacob had football practice so he stayed behind. I had no idea where Amber went. She didn't come to school, so maybe she went out or something. It was only me. I dumped my backpack on my bed where I noticed a knife under my pillow. Still making sure no one was home, I quickly grabbed it, and bolted to the bathroom.

To find the lost sky
FanfictionFinal part to incredibly cringy story series. Looking back at the book, it was really dark, and messed up. There's a lot of "uncomfortable and triggering" thing in here, so I advise those types of people not to read it. I was in a really dark place...
