*max's pov*
I heard the door knob start to open.
"Hey Ross," I said. "Did you forget-"
I turned around but to my surprise, saw Jacob, with a dark look on his face, and Maddy with flushed cheeks, and a wet eye.
"Jacob what-" I started, but he just brushed passed me and walked into his room, slamming the door shut.
I walked over to Maddy, tears still slowly falling down her right cheek.
"Maddy... wh-what happened?" Was all I could stutter out of my mouth.
She just stood there, silently crying for a few seconds, then ran over to me, arms wide, and wrapped them around me. I was a bit taken back by it, but then wrapped my arms around her. She cried into my chest as I tightly embraced her. I shushed her, and told her  everything was going to be ok, but she just shook her head. I just decided to keep my mouth shut, and hold her for a little bit. A few more minutes passed.
"Do you want to talk about it?"  I whispered into her ear. She violently shook her head and started to cry even more.
"Why don't we go to the couch?" I softly asked her, trying not to make her more upset. "That way we don't have to stand in the cold."
She barely nodded.
After I shut the door, we slowly made our way to the couch. We sat down and Maddy put her head on my shoulder, slowly starting to calm herself down. I had my arm around her other shoulder, and leaned my head on hers.
"Whatever it is," I said to her softly, "we'll get through it."
She looked up at me.
"Really? Together?" She whispered to me.
"Yea," I whispered back, "Together."

To find the lost sky
FanfictionFinal part to incredibly cringy story series. Looking back at the book, it was really dark, and messed up. There's a lot of "uncomfortable and triggering" thing in here, so I advise those types of people not to read it. I was in a really dark place...
