Part 10

*max's pov*
I slowly opened my eyes. The beeping of the monitor was what woke me up. Or was it? I looked out the. Window. It was pitch black. My guess it was the middle of the night. I scooted to the edge of the bed and started to get up. But as I stepped on my left foot, I almost screamed in agony and fell to the floor. I pulled up my knee and gripped my leg. I couldn't scream now. After about five minutes laying on the floor, I noticed a clip board, hanging by the foot of the hospital bed. I grabbed the peg of the bed and dragged myself toward it. I rolled over to my back, and sat up, making sure my left leg was straight. I quickly snatched the clipboards and fell on my back again. I rolled over to my stomach and started to read.
"Max (idk his last name)
Age: 21
Reason here: car crash
Injures: gashes and cuts over his face, arms, and legs. Brocken rib and foot.
What he requires: stitches✔️ cast and crutches. "
I remembered the car crash too easily. The blood... screaming... lifelessness... a kiss. It finally got into my head. I need to find Maddy. I heard a click of the knob of my door. I quickly hooked the clipboard back onto the hospital bed, and army crawled more towards the door. The door slowly turned open to reveal Amber.
"Max!" She said. "What are you doing out of bed?(!)"
"Sorry," I put my hand at the back of my neck. "I sort of feel out of it."
"Well then." She picked me up like a baby, and put me back on the bed.
"How did you even pick me up? I'm heavy!" I said in shock.
"Don't you want to know where Maddy is?" She asked.
I nodded quickly.
"Well, she's on the top floor, in critical condition," Amber replied. "If you want to sneak out one night to see her, I'll help you. Just wait until you get your cast and crutches."
"How long was I out though?"
Amber thought for a minute.
"Maybe... Three days?" She guessed.
Three days?(!)
Amber started to walk out the door.
"Amber," I said.
She looked back at me.
"Thanks," I said looking at the sheets of the bed. "Can you look after her for me? When Adam went missing, I made a promise I'd find her. But you did. Then I was supposed to take care of her. But I couldn't. Can you while I can't?"
She nodded and closed the door, leaving me alone once again.
So Ik I was supposed to MAKE A FREAKING CHAPTER YESTERDAY. But school starts in a week, which btw. Is annoying. But. Anyways. I had to go shopping for forever, so after I got home my mom needed me to do chores. Then I thought. "Ok I'll do it after my movie (after dinner). So I Finnish diner. Watch frozen bc it's my second fav movie, then get on my phone to write. Then my mom said "go to bed. I want you to start getting used to getting to bed at 9:30. I I hid my phone going upstairs, and start to write. Then my mom catches me so she took my phone. Crazy right? But I got it back bc she's at work. And that's the story. So I'm sorry. Really.
