So Ik probably most of you hate me for putting an update before a chapter, but that's fine with me. I just wanted to say that it's been hard trying to write something without having more "mature" content. Ik it sounds stupid, but I always have to careful of what I put into the writing and it kinda stops the flow a bit? I'm not sure, but just keep that in mind that there's going to be swearing or whatever in my writing from now on. And now onto the story!
*max's pov*
"What the hell?" I stood frozen in the doorway. "What happened?!"
I ran over to Maddy. I was so unaware about my surroundings, I didn't notice the random pile of glass on the floor, and I stepped right into it. I screamed in pain. I fell onto the floor, clutching my foot. I didn't dare look down at my foot, fearing it would freak me out even more, causing more pain. I looked at the pile of glass. It was a small pile, and spread out everywhere, but the glass was mostly thin. There was a long, thin, medal needle that sat on the carpet. At the other end, there was more medal pieces. Was this a syringe? I looked closer at the carpet. Nothing was there, but I could see traces of strange purple liquid. What is that? Struggling to stand, I hopped on one foot, careful not to step on any nearby glass, and hopped my way to Maddy.
"Maddy?" I asked.
What used to by my sweatshirt, was now a scrap of clothing, stained with more of the purple stuff. There were gash marks everywhere along her body. Was she attacked? I asked myself, trying to come up with a solution. How did, what ever attacked Maddy, get into the house!? And, are those... gash marks? From a knife? Or was it because of the syringe?
The deep cuts over Maddy's body were too straight. Too perfect. Too painful. I reached for my phone but hesitated. What if I call the police? But what if it was one of Jacob's 'kind'? It might expose him to the public. I still grabbed my phone, and texted Jacob
(M=Max J=Jacob)
M- Hey Jacob, are you guys at the restaurant?
J- Yea, we just ordered food. Are you and Maddy coming?
M- Some happened in Alesa's room. Maddy has cuts everywhere, and there's broken glass which I think used to be a syringe.
J- Really?! Do you even know what happened?
M- No, that's why I need you here to help me investigate.
J- Should I bring everyone home?
M- No. Just you. I don't want everyone to see.
J- alright. Be home soon.
I turned off my phone and put it back into my pocket. I turned my attention towards Maddy. But first, I took a deep breath, and tried to pull out the shards of glass. I gritted my tears, so I wouldn't scream. Moments later, I got out most of them. Luckily, all the glass was at my heel, so I could still walk on the ball of my toe.
"Maddy?" I asked.
Still no answer. I pulled down the hood, and checked for her pulse. Her heart was still beating. I put my finger near her nose, and sure enough, I felt a warm, soft breeze. I picked her up, bridal style, and tried to carry her downstairs to the living room. I walked down the stairs. My bad foot almost gave way, as we reached the living room. I slowly lowered her to the soft carpet, then collapsed beside her. I started to crawl on my knees, and looked around for the first aid kit. After moving around some boxes, I finally saw the tin, red and white box. I grabbed the handle, and dragged it out into the open. I flipped the clip, and opened it. I grabbed bandaids, the disinfecting ointment, cotton balls, and slid back over to Maddy. I poured out the ointment into the Cotten ball and braced myself.
"Please have a shirt under your sweatshirt," I prayed.
I slipped off the sweatshirt, and thankfully, she did have a tang-top underneath. I was about to dab the cotton ball onto her arm, but then noticed the blue and red scars lining her arm.
Thanks you so much for reading another chapter. And as always;
Be brave.
Stay strong.
Always shine.

To find the lost sky
FanfictionFinal part to incredibly cringy story series. Looking back at the book, it was really dark, and messed up. There's a lot of "uncomfortable and triggering" thing in here, so I advise those types of people not to read it. I was in a really dark place...
