*Maddy's pov.*
"Maddy?" Adam asked, "Maddy where are you?"
"I'm right here!" I yelled for him.
"Maddy!" He yelled again.
"I'm right in front of you!" I exclaimed.
Adam called out for me again. I gave myself a chilling thought.
"Excuse me," Adam said franticly, "do you know where my little sister is? She has long brown hair, and she's very short."
"Yes! I'm right here!" I wanted to say, but before I could, a man behind me responded. It was someone's I recognized. It chilled me to the bone.
"No, I haven't, sorry." he said.
I turned around. The man was tall and bald with a goatee hanging from his face.
"Cole," he continued, "have you seen her?"
The boy standing next to him nodded his head. He had short, brown hair, with icy blue eyes.
"Yes, I have," he said. "I think I saw her over there."
He pointed behind him. Adam looked more relaxed.
"Thank you," he said and started to walk in the direction Cole pointed to.
"No," I started, "don't believe them, I'm right here. Can't you see?"
But Adam didn't, he didn't even stop slightly.
"No, Adam!" I yelled, trying to grab his shoulders, but I didn't make contact. He walked straight threw me, like I can a ghost. As he kept walking, he picked up his pace. Eventually he was a few paces from the edge of the cliff.
"No!" I ran after him and held out a hand as he fell, but there was no one to take it. He was gone. Then, the sound of laughter echoed from behind me.
"Poor, poor Maddy," Cole mocked.
"This isn't real," I whispered to myself. "This can't be real."
"You're right, it's not," Notch said as he walked up to me. "But it soon will be."
With one powerful kick, he knocked me off the cliff.
I jolted awake. It took me a few moments to process what happened for both the dream, and before. I looked at my hands. They were covered in dried blood, cracking and peeling off as I moved my fingers. I got up, stumbling, but held onto the wall. I clutched my damaged eye. The gauze was still there, even though it had stopped bleeding a while ago. I never wanted to take it off, and see how bad it had become. Without letting my hand leave my eye, I slowly made my way to the door, using the wall for support. Once I opened the door, I almost fell backward in shock. Max was at the doorway, crunched in a ball, fast asleep.
"He.. he never left," I whispered to myself. I noticed him shivering. It took a massive effort, but I managed to grab the soft, red blanket from the bottom bunk. I collapsed next to him, and draped it over us. I picked up his arm and wrapped it around me. I slowly closed my eyes, and drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

*Jacob's pov.*
I had Barney's arm wrapped around my shoulder. I looked down at Maddy and Max, peacefully sleeping by the bathroom door. Barney softly chuckled.
"I remember those days," he whispered to me.
I nodded. "I'm just glad they're happy together."
"I am to."

*Maddy's pov.*
I woke up with my backside cold. Did something happen when I was asleep? I instantly got up, and franticly looked around.

To find the lost sky
FanfictionFinal part to incredibly cringy story series. Looking back at the book, it was really dark, and messed up. There's a lot of "uncomfortable and triggering" thing in here, so I advise those types of people not to read it. I was in a really dark place...
