Adrienette //Not Over You//{COMPLETED}

Chapter 23

(Marinette)

I raise my eyebrow at Adrien and cross my arms, "What do you mean?" Adrien walked nearer to me and placed his hands in my shoulders, "Who else do we know with the last name Rossi?"

My face scrunched up in thought, and then my shoulder's tensed up, and I looked up horrified, "Lila . . .?" After I said that, we heard glass shatter upstairs and a scream. "Victoria!" We both shouted at the same time, looking up the ladder.

I nod at Adrien, and turn to Tikki. "Tikki! Spots on!" Adrien transforms into Chat Noir and we hurry up the ladder, looking around. "Where is she, where's Victoria?" Chat Noir turns the light on and goes up to the balcony, I follow him and look down at the street to see if she somehow got down there.

Out of nowhere, a little voice called out, "Who are you?" I ran toward it and sighed in relief when I saw dark green eyes staring back at me, and with a her a lighter pair of green eyes that I recognized belonged to my cat. "Victoria, I'm Ladybug, and this is my partner Chat Noir, we're here to help, we heard you scream."

Victoria crawled out, Sparky followed and leapt into my arms purring, "Hi buddy," I say smiling, scratching the back of his ears. "Is that your cat, I'm sorry I just saw him and carried him under there so that I'd feel more comfortable." Victoria asks with big eyes.

"Yeah- I mean . . . no, but I know the owner, and sweetie, why are you uncomfortable?" Victoria sniffs, "Mommy was back for a little bit, but the purple butterfly changed her again and she left."  I look at her in sympathy and set Sparky down so I can pick her up.

"Do you know which direction she went in? I ask her. Victoria points her finger toward the eiffel tower, "That's what I thought." I mumbled under my breath. "Come on Chat, we need to follow her." Chat Noir nods, but looks a bit uncomfortable. "What is it?" I ask.

He points toward Victoria, "What are we going to do with her?" I think for a minute and then have an idea. "I'll drop her off at Alya's," I turn back to Victoria, "Is that okay sweetie?" She rubs her eyes, yawns, and nods.

"Chat, can you carry Sparky?" I ask him. Sparky's tail flicked and he looked up at Chat Noir, while Chat Noir looked down at him, "Sure," He leaned down to pick him up, "Come here kitty kitty." Sparky avoided his arms and jumps up on his shoulder.

I laugh and Chat smiles awkwardly, "I don't think that is really that safe for you . . ." I laugh more and smirk, "Don't worry Chat," I flick his bell to make it ring, "He has a good grip." I laugh mischievously and jump from roof to roof.

Chat's eyes widen as he follows me, "Hey! Wait M'lady! What did you say?" I stop at Alya's house, but stop as I see the good Volpina from earlier. "Mommy?" Victoria called out.

(Alya)

I run back to my house in tears, remembering what Ladybug told me, and I reach to grab my necklace and throw it into the street, but Ladybug and Chat Noir's voices stopped me.

I looked up and heard the little girl in Ladybug's arms reach out towards me and say, "Mommy?" I stand up and wipe my tears, "What do you want?" I try to say kindly, but it came out harsh.

Ladybug stepped forward, "Do you know where the girl that lives here named Alya is?" I gasp slightly and say quickly. "She . . . um isn't here . . . she went to Brazil . . ."

Ladybug sighed and looked down, "Already? Without saying goodbye? And wait . . . how do you know so much about her?" She asked, putting a hand on her hip and raising an eyebrow suspiciously.

I stuttered, "Oh . . . um well yeah I guess I do, anyways, I can take care of her!" I smile at the end of the sentence. Ladybug pursed her lips and shook her head, "I'm sorry, but I can't have someone I just met take care of her."

"Wait . . ." Part of me wanted to just blow my cover, whip out my phone, and record them for the Ladyblog, "Is this little munchkin yours?" Ladybug and Chat Noir blush furiously, and Ladybug shakes her head, "No, no she's not."

There was a loud explosion towards the eiffel tower and Ladybug and Chat Noir looked horrified, Chat Noir placed a hand on Ladybug's shoulder, "M'lady we have to go, just let her take care of Victoria." Ladybug sighed and handed me the little girl, Victoria and Chat Noir set the black cat down at my feet. "One more thing," Ladybug says, "Yes?" Ladybug looks down again, "I'm sorry for earlier . . ." "LB!" Chat calls out Ladybug's name, Ladybug, turns toward Chat and calls out, "Coming!"

I looked down and saw Victoria asleep, her little hand was on my collarbone, and her head was on my shoulder.   I smiled and unlocked the door, setting her down on the couch once we got in there. I threw a maroon blanket over her, and moved her hair out of her face, the black cat leapt up on the couch and curled up beside Victoria.

I felt my powers go away, and heard my kwami mumble for food, I laugh, "I'll get it in a second!" There was a knock at my door and I got up to get it, beckoning my kwami to hide somewhere. "Alya?" it was Nino, I opened the door and smiled, "Hey Nino!" Nino saw Victoria sleeping on the couch, "Who's she?"

I put a finger to my mouth, and close the door behind him as he walks in, "Her name is Victoria, and I am taking care of her for Chat Noir and Ladybug." I whisper.

His eyes widen, "Ladybug and Chat Noir?" He says a little too loudly. I nod, and smile while laughing lightly, "Yeah, and quite down!" I take his hand and sit down on the other couch.

"I didn't know Chat Noir and Ladybug had a kid?" I shrug and look at the ground, "They said she wasn't theirs." Nino mumbled, "That's what they all say." "So do you want to watch a movie?" I ask.

Nino nodded and smiled, "Yeah why not." I looked through my movies and picked out the movie Annie, "Is this movie okay?" Nino nods again, "Yeah."

~le magical time skip~

I woke up with my head on Nino's shoulder, and the credits of the movie playing, I blush and get up, and saw that the sun was rising. Yawning and stretching, I walk over to Victoria and lift the covers up to her shoulders. "Is it morning already?" She rubs her eyes and stretches.

She doesn't even look surprised when she sees me, actually her face lights up, "Yes and I'm-" "Mommy I know." "Huh? No no no sweetie, I'm Alya." She frowns, "But you have the same necklace as her, I mean that's really all I ever really see if her true self, she's always dressed as a fox because a purple butterfly flies into her necklace."

I raise an eyebrow and put some of her bangs behind her ear, "I'm so sorry sweetie! Want something to eat?" Victoria hugs me and laughs, "Yes mommy!" I felt my heart drop when she said that.

Poor sweet girl, I bet she probably doesn't get that much attention and love at home. I hug her back. I'll make sure to give her that.
