The Champions

Lily's P.O.V

This afternoon, the 3 champions for the tournament would be announced. I was worried that something might happen, and Harry would be involved. That morning, as we attended our classes, I was worried. Harry noticed, and said "don't worry. I'll protect you." I smiled a bit, but then went back to being worried. We arrived at the Great Hall, and I sat next to Harry, Ron and Hermione. I held Harry's hand tightly. "Alright, everyone. Today we find out who our 3 champions are." A paper shot out of the Goblet of Fire, the thing that chose who would compete. "The champion from Beaxbatons is....... Fleur Delacor." Claps and cheers erupted from where Beaxbatons was sitting. Another paper shot out. "The Durmstrang champion is........ Victor Krum." An eruption of cheers came from Durmstrang. "And the Hogwarts champion is........ Cedric Diggory." A big eruption of cheers came from everyone else. "Alright, we now have our 3 champions-" Dumbledore was cut off by another paper coming out. He read "Harry Potter." I gasped worriedly, and tears fell from my eyes. "HARRY POTTER!" Yelled Dumbledore. Harry stood up slowly, and went to Dumbledore. He walked off by where the other champions went. Silence. Another paper came out. Dumbledore read "Lily Weasley." I was terrified. I stood up very slowly, and went to Dumbledore. I walked off to where all the champions went. I found Harry, and he looked worried. "Lily," Harry said. He ran to me and hugged me. I broke down in tears. All the other champions came to comfort me. A few minutes later, a lot of voices came down the stairs. I had stopped crying but I still held onto Harry like if I was gonna fall if I let go. "HARRY! LILY! DID YOU TWO PUT YOUR NAMES IN THE GOBLET OF FIRE?" Said Dumbledore. "No sir," we answered at the same time. Barty Crouch, the man who gave the age limit, came and said. "The magic is too strong. Nothing can be done. As of tonight, they both are Triwizard Champions." I couldn't take it. I collapsed into Harry, and he held me up. "But, Harrry's just a boy! And Lily's..... Oh no, Lily's a child!" Said Mcgonagall. "We can't do anything," said Dumbledore.

Harry and I walked back to the common room, and I was still very worried. When we walked in, I sat down on the first couch I saw, and cried my eyes out. Harry held me and tried to comfort me. I wouldn't stop crying. Ron came and saw Lily. "Why didn't you tell me you put your name in!" Yelled Ron. I've never been yelled at. "I didn't, I-" Ron cut me off. "You want glory, don't you!" He yelled. Harry looked furious. He stood up and yelled at Ron. "Ron! She's your sister! She would never lie to you or anyone!" Ron then yelled at Harry. "Speaking of this, why did YOU put your name in!" "I DIDN'T!! I DON'T KNWO HOW THIS HAPPENED! You should be comforting your sister, not yelling at her!" Harry helped me up, and looked at Ron. "Look at your sister, Ron........" Ron looked at me, and then this worried face came over him, and he came over to hug me. "Lily, I'm sorry." "It's ok," I answered.

Harry's P.O.V

I was still a little mad at Ron for blowing up like that at Lily, but I forgave him since Lily did. It was dark out, and late. The four of us were still there a bit. Lily was looking into the fire with a look of fear. I decided to comfort her, so I said "hey, it fine. I'll protect you with my life. Ok?" She looked at me, and said "ok," in a shaky voice. I pulled her in for a hug, and I held her tightly. This time, Hermione didn't say anything because she realized that it wouldn't be good to say that in this moment. "I don't wanna lose you," whispered Lily into my ear. "You won't," I answered. "Well, I'm gonna go to bed," said Ron. "Goodnight," we all said. Hermione than left, and I said "Lily, are you ok now?" "I guess," she answered. "I'm gonna go to bed now, too," I said. "Ok," she answered. She seemed calmer. I still walked her to the staircases, and then I kissed her. I then went up my staircase. I went to my bed, and fell asleep quickly. I hope I can protect her. The First Task was in a few days. I hope she won't be too scared without me.
