Slughorn's Christmas Party

Lily's P.O.V

There's about a week before Christmas break, and Slughorn has invited Harry, Hermione, and me to his party. Ron is still jealous, and I told us about Hermione, but he won't do anything. Hermione is bringing McLaggen to make Ron jealous, and Harry asked me "Lily, you want to be my date?" I asked "what will I get if I say yes?" I smiled and said "you'll get a nice, long, kiss." I said "then yes." He chuckled and kissed me for 10 seconds. I said "that really was long." We both laughed. This party is going to be the like 6th event Harry and I will attend together. I loved him so much, and I just wanted to be with him forever.

It's the day of the party, and I got ready in my outfit. This party is pretty formal, so I picked my favorite red dress and some heels. When I was ready, I went downstairs and saw Harry waiting for me. He heard my heels and looked over. He smiled at me, using his charming cute smile, and I smiled too. He asked "you ready?" I said "yea." He extended his arm so I could take it, and I pooped my arm through his. We walked out and headed over to the party. At the party, there was a lot of food, and a lot of lights. Harry and I grabbed some of the food that was on the table, and after a few minutes, I saw Hermione walk in like she was running away from someone. I said "are you running away from McLaggen?" She nodded anxiously, and Harry and I helped her hide. She said "i only took him because I thought it would make Ron jealous." Harry asked "is it working?" She shook her head sadly." I comforted her, and then she ran away since McLaggen came in. He asked us if we've seen Hermione, and I said "i haven't seen her." Harry nodded and he walked off to look for her. The party lasted a pretty long time. After the party, Harry and I walked back to the common room. I said "i had a lot of fun." He said "me too." Oh, I forgot to say that Draco walked in and then walked out with Snape. Harry didn't let me go, so I was left alone. I asked Harry what happened with that, and he told me what he heard. We now arrived at the common room, and I switched my heels for some flats because my feet were killing me. When I went downstairs, I saw harry sitting by the fireplace. I sighed with a smile and sat next to him. He put his arm around me and kissed my forehead. I closed my eyes and Harry whispered "I love you." I whispered "I love you too." After a dew minutes, we went robbed since we were tired. This year has been amazing. I can't wait for the rest.
