The Hearing

Lily's P.O.V

In the morning, we woke up, and then I tried to get up. Harry held me tighter, and he wouldn't let go. I giggled and said "come on, Harry. We have to get up." He said "aww let's stay a bit longer." I fought out of his grip, and then he got up. I kissed him, and then we went downstairs. We had breakfast, and then we once again took our turns changing. I got dressed in my outfit, and I began to have bad nerves for Harry's hearing. I was gonna go. When Harry and I got dressed, my dad took us. Harry had to help my dada a bit, because I now understood the muggle world. Once we got to the Ministry, we got in the elevator that would take us to Harry's hearing. I was holding Harry's hand, and then Kingsley whispered something to my dad. He said "merlin's beard. They've changed the time of your hearing." Harry looked worried and he asked "when is it?" My dad answered "in 5 minutes." I began to worry. When we were outside the door of the hearing, my dad paused and told Harry some things. He then said we weren't allowed in, so I told Harry "I love you." Harry said "I love you too." I kissed him, and then I let him in. I hope everything goes well.

Harry's P.O.V

I just entered my hearing. I sat down in the chair, and it began. Fudge began "we have here Mr. Harry Potter, accused of using magic in the presence of a muggle, and castes the Patronus Charm. This incident happened yesterday at 6:23 pm. Now, Mr. Potter, were you aware that you were not allowed to use magic outside school as you are under aged?" "Yes but-" I was interrupted with another question. "And we're you aware of the statute of secrecy about performing magic in front of a muggle?" I began again. "Yes, but-" He interrupted once again. "Then our case is settle then." I took my chance and said "I was only doing it because of the dementors." People gasped and looked with surprise. "Dementors? In Little Whinging?" Fudge then said "dementors don't just wander into a muggle suburb." Out of nowhere I heard Dumbledore say "what if the attack was intentional? Here to defend Mr. Potter, Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore." Fudge looked at him with anger. "The ministry has perfect control over the dementors," said Fudge. "Yes, but what about another person that used to control them? Cornelius, I know that you know who I'm talking about." Fudge began to shake, and said "he's not back." Then he continued. "If Harry Potter does not have a witness, then the case is settled." Dumbledore said "oh sir, he does." Mrs. Figg came out, and I was told to sit somewhere else. They began to ask her questions. A lady began. "Describe the attack." Mrs. Figg looked as though she was thinking. "Yes, there were two. One was very large, and the other rather skinny-" "not the boys, the dementors," interrupted Fudge. "Oh yes. Cloaked, floating, and then everything went cold. As if all the happiness had bee gone from the world." Fudge then said "I'm sorry to interrupt a story that might have been very well rehearsed. Let's take a vote." The same lady that asked Mrs. Figg the first question said "those in favor of a cussing the accused if his charges." Only a few people raised their hand. "Those in favor of clearing the accused go all charges." A whole lot more people raised their hand. Fudge then said "cleared of all charges." He banged the hammer thing, and I smiled. Lily's gonna be happy. I walked out and saw a very nervous looking Lily. I wanted to surprise her so I a acted sad.

Lily's P.O.V

Harry came out looking sad. I asked "what did they say?" He sighed, and then said "cleared of all charges." He smiled. I was so happy, I gave him a very tight hug. He spun around, an then put me down. I kissed him, and a few tears of joy fell from my eyes. "I'm so glad you'll be coming to Hogwarts still," I said. He smiled and said "me too." I held his hand, and we walked out with my dad. I was so happy that Harry was cleared of all charges. When we got home, we told everyone, and they all were really happy too. When Hermione and Ron were downstairs, I brought Harry to our room, and said "you know, I didn't get to express how happy I am that you're innocent." Harry smiled and said "neither did I." He walked to me, pushed me against the wall, and wrapped his arms around my waist. I wrapped my arms around his shoulders, and we leaned in. We kissed, and then we stayed like this for about 10 minutes until we heard the door open. Harry quickly went to the side, and we tried to look innocent. It was Hermione. "So lovebirds," she began, "what've you two been up to right now?" I smiled and began to turn pink. Harry wrapped his arm around me and kissed my cheek. He answered "just expressing our happiness that I'm going back to Hogwarts." Hermione smiled and then walked away. She left Harry and me standing very awkwardly. We went downstairs, and then Hermione brought me upstairs for some girl time. "So," she began "how'd the hearing go?" I sighed and said "I wasn't allowed in." She then went sad and said "oh, I can imagine how long of a wait it was for you." I nodded, smiled, and said "yeah, but it's all settled. Harry's no longer expelled." We spent some more quality girl time, and the. Hermione said "harry really loves you." I smiled, and she said "when you're not around, he talks about you like if you're the only thing on his mind." I really smile at this. I asked "really?" "Really," she answered. After we went downstairs for supper, we got ready, and went to bed. There were about 3 weeks before we started school again, and I wanted to have some last 3 weeks of quality time with Harry. I loved that Harry and I were sharing a bed. I wonder what this next year will bring.
