I stepped out from behind the wall and wandered over to where Jacob was standing. I poked him in the side. "Dad? Am I really a witch?" Jacob placed his hand on my shoulder. "I'm not sure honey...go upstairs to your room while I talk to this man." I reluctantly agreed and trudged up the stairs. I decided to sit on the very top step and wait.

About a half an hour later Jacob told me to come down. I raced down the steps and walked over to the living room. "Hello Vale, I am Professor Darme and I will be your Charms teacher." "My what?" I asked confused. "Your charms teacher, Vale." "I still don't get- I started to say but Professor Darme interrupted me. "Well I best be off, I have a class in 5 minutes and I must be going!" He said before I heard a very loud crack, causing me to stumble backwards. Jacob caught me and steadied me. "He's a unique one huh?" Jacob said with a small laugh. "Uniques an understatement." I muttered. Jacob ruffled my hair. "Is it really true? Am I a witch!?" "Yes honey, you are and your supposed to attend this Hogwarts school." I tilted my head to the the side. "Hogwarts?" "Yes it's a school for witches and wizards, Professor Darme gave me your letter and some wizard money so you could buy some necessary things for the school." "Can you read me the letter?" I asked. "Ok sure."

"Dear Ms. Sinclair, we are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, enclosed in the letter is a list of the supplies you will need for the school year."

I squealed in excitement and jumped up and down. "It's real! It's real!" I ran over and launched myself at the couch, I missed my intended spot though and ended up crashing into Jacob who was sitting on the couch. "Oomph!" I giggled and scooted off his lap and sat next to him on the couch. "Sorry Dad." I said with a sheepish grin. "It's all right Vale." I could sense Jacob's uneasiness. "What's wrong?" "Hm? Oh....it's nothing...but Vale do you want to go to this school? It could be dangerous." "Yes I really do want to go dad...I know you've homeschooled me my whole life for a reason...but I really think that being blind won't hold me back at this school." I suddenly found myself in a tight hug. "Dad..." "Just promise me something Vale." "Ok." "I know that your going to grow up...and become a teenager...but just promise me that you won't forget your old man." "Oh dad...I would never forget you even when I'm 102!" "That's my girl." Jacob said ruffling my hair. "Now, let's find where this Diagon Alley is and find you some school supplies!" "Yay!" I grinned.
