[Grant and I cut the cake it's vanilla with an orange buttercream icing. Grant has a hand on my back we feed each other I have icing on my lips. Grant's lips brush mine I kiss him we kiss slowly and passionately he grabs my hips and pulls me closer to him I laugh and pull away.]
[I sneak up behind Lexi and say:]
"Hey Brooklyn. Did you really think you could get married without me?"
[I turn around and see Amanda standing there I'm speechless ; I feel sick Grant has his arm around my waist protectively he looks at me and asks:]
"Baby are you okay?"
"I need to lay down."
"Okay. Lean on me."[I put Lexi's arm around my shoulder we go outside and sit in the limo with the doors locked Lexi's head is in my lap ; I put an arm around her and ask:]"Who was that?"
"My mother. She was working for the European government."
"Ah. Has she ever done that before?"
"When I was in middle school it was like maybe three or four months after I moved here. She left and didn't say goodbye all she left were custody papers."
"You two look a lot alike but you have Erin's smile."
"Yea. I can see that."
"After a while adopted kids start to resemble their adoptive parents."
"She's my mom."
"Yea. Ready to go back inside?"
"No. Let's just stay here and forget the world."
"I can do that."[Lexi falls asleep I put my jacket over her and kiss her forehead I sit on the other side of the limo and take a picture of Lexi she says:]
"Post it and you're sleeping on the couch."
"Yes dear."[I make the picture my lock screen ; I go over and kiss Lexi quickly she says:]
"Mm. Give me another one."
"You're adorable."[we kiss quickly someone knocks on the window I roll it down Erin says:]
"Hey. I was just checking on you two. How you feeling baby girl?"
"Better. I just needed to lay down for a while. I got a little dizzy I guess."
"Are you guys coming back in?"
"Yea. We'll be there in a little bit."
"You always got me kiddo."
"Thanks Mom."[Mom leaves I lay my head on Grant's chest and listen to his heartbeat he looks down at me I kiss him we kiss slowly and passionately I pull away and say:]"I love this new cologne. It smells so good."
"I thought you would like it."[we go inside Amanda comes over she says:]
"You look so beautiful Lex."
"Thanks. This is Grant my husband. Babe this is my mother Amanda."
"It's nice to finally meet you. I've heard so much about you Ms. Rollins. It's no wonder where my girl gets her looks from."[Carter and Aubrey are sitting by themselves I say:]"Would you ladies excuse me? I told Carter that I'd save a dance for her."
"Yea."
"Okay Lex don't get mad at me but I may have posted that picture of you sleeping."
"I asked you not to."
