Chapter 49: Something Bad

*Alexis's pov*

[Lexi and I have been talking for two hours we go into this store Lexi says:]

"This is where I go to get all my lingerie and Grant loves it well then again he loves anything I wear."

"Why are we here?"

"To get you some. Now get undressed."

"Oh no Lexi I don't."

"Look you and Brysen need to get busy."

"It's not that I don't want to. I can't. We were fooling around the other night and I faked it."[Lexi starts laughing I say:]"Stop laughing. It's not funny."

"Here try this. Follow the directions and you shouldn't have anymore problems."

"Okay."

"Are you gonna try some stuff on now?"

"Yea but Brysen didn't have protection."

"They probably went to get some. We ran out too."

"I just wanted to be with my husband."

"That's the first time I've heard you call Brysen your husband. I'm really happy for you little sis."

"I'm gonna call him."[I call Brysen he answers:]

"Hey babe."

"Hey. I just wanted to check in. Are you okay?"

"Yea. Grant and I have been talking and I'm good. Are you okay?"

"Yea. Lexi and I have been talking. Hey about earlier I'm sorry there's some things that I just don't want to talk about. What that man did is one of them."

"I'm here anytime you want to talk okay?"

"Okay. Hey babe when we were fooling around the other night. I faked it."

"I know."

"How?"

"Because I know you darling. We should be good on protection for about a month. I got you something."

"Really?"

"Yea."

"Send me a picture."[Brysen sends me a picture of chocolate and a teddy bear. I smile and tell him:]"We should be back soon. Wait up for me?"

"Okay. But if I'm asleep you can't be mad."

"I won't be mad."[I find a lot of cute lingerie outfits. Lexi shows me a black lace bra and panties set she whispers:]

"Brysen is going to love you in this."

"That is so cute!"

"Alexis are you shopping?"

"Yea. Lexi found this really cute outfit for me. I'll see you when we get back."

"Okay. I love you."

"I love you too."

"I love you more."

"That's not possible."

"Yea it is Danielle."

"Bye baby."[I hang up smiling Lexi says teasingly:]

"Aww. Did your husband make you smile?"

"No. You did thank you for being here for me. I will never forget how you held me when I would ask for Mom when we thought she died. You held me and you sang to me. What was that song?"

"Just Around The Corner by the one and only Martina McBride. When I was a kid I didn't have Dad around like you and Dylan did so my mom would sing it to me when I was sad. I can't believe you remember that."
