Chapter 51: Babies, Homecomings, and Proposals

*Adrianna's pov*

[I wake up in my bed it's 5am I get up and run into the bathroom I throw up several times. I go on a run throwing up several times along the way. 7:00am I go back to Mom's and walk in Dad is cooking I take a long shower I get dressed and go downstairs everyone is eating Mom says:]

"Hey. Can we reschedule our trip? It's our anniversary this weekend and your father and I wanted to do something special."

"Yea."

"Aren't you gonna eat?"

"No. I'm just a little under the...

"Addi?!"[she faints I go over to her I say:]"Carter go start the car. She's going to the hospital."

"What's going on?"

"Her heart rate is dropping fast. You can meet me at the hospital."

"I'll ride with you."

"Hon are you sure?"

"I wasn't there when any of my kids really needed me. I will be fine."

"We're right behind you."

[ We get in the car I flip the sirens on and leave we get to the hospital Maggie says:]

"Talk to me."

"Adrianna Halstead passed out at breakfast and I can't get a pulse."

"Okay."

"Shotgun."

"Yep."[two hours later we get all the rest results back Tate comes in he says:]

"Good morning Maggie."

"Morning. What can I help you with?"

"There was a gunshot victim we brought in last night. I just wanted to check on him."

"He's doing good. He needs surgery but he's good."

"Okay. Has Adrianna come in yet? She had an appointment with her doctor today."

"Do you know who get doctor is?"

"No."

"She fainted this morning. She's in room one."

"Is she okay?"

"I can't give out patient information but you're welcome to sit in the waiting room with her family."[I go into Addi's room Erin is sitting next to the bed. Dylan comes in with her chart she says:]

"She's fine. There is something though. Adrianna."[Addi wakes up she looks around and says:]

"My head hurts."

"You're fine. How long have you been pregnant?"

"What?"

"You're three weeks pregnant. You didn't know?"

"I mean I took a test but thought it was a false positive. Is Tate here?"

"Yes. Do you want to see him?"

"No. I just want to be alone right now. Please don't say anything to anyone."

"Of course. Would you like an ultrasound and maybe see the baby?"

"No. Tell Tate that I'm fine and to go back to work."[Six weeks later April 19th I go to the doctor with Dylan I haven't told Tate or anyone else about the baby yet. The nurse comes in she says:]

"Hi Adrianna. Dylan."

"Hi."

"How are you?"

"Good. Glad the morning sickness is over."
