Chapter 40: How Am I Supposed To Live Without You?

*Olivia's pov*

[August 12th Noon I'm at my pilates class we're exercising 1:00 I grab my stuff and walk into the gym area and workout 2:00pm I finish my workout my phone is dead. I go home Hank's car is in the driveway I walk in I say:]

"Hey babe I'm back from my workout."[Grant comes out of the kitchen I ask:]"What are you doing here? And how did you get in?"

"Lexi gave me her key. And she asked me to come get you."

"Why? What happened? Erin? Jay? Dylan?"

"They're okay. It's Hank. The girls went to take the Intelligence team lunch and Hank had been in his office for a while so Dylan wanted to check on him when she went into the office Hank wasn't breathing. Dylan thinks he had another heart attack."

"Oh god."[I start crying Grant hugs me I cry on his shoulder sobbing he says:]

"We can sit if you'd like. You can take a minute."

"I just need to be with my husband."

"Of course. Come on I'll take you to the hospital."

"Give me a minute."

"Yes ma'am. I'll be right outside."

"Okay."[I go upstairs into my room and over to Hank's closet I find one of his jackets and hold it to my nose and breathe in his cologne I sob into his jackets I say:]"I don't know if you're listening or not but please don't take him. Not yet. I have to say goodbye. Just let me say goodbye. Please he's my best friend."[I take a quick shower and put on some jeans and a T-shirt along with Hank's jacket. I put my sneakers on ; I wash my face and put some eye drops in. I grab my phone, purse, and keys ; I go downstairs and look at the picture of me and Hank on our wedding day I say:]"Wait for me please."

[I'm on the phone with Lexi she says:]

"Okay. Dylan says he needs surgery and to get here as fast as you can. They need Olivia's consent for the surgery."

"Are you okay?"

"Best as can be expected."

"Hey Liv just walked out of the house so I'll see you in a bit."

"Okay. I love you."

"I love you too babe. Bye."[I open Olivia's door for her she gets in I shut the door and get in Olivia is playing with the zipper on her jacket. I drive to the hospital ; I'm speeding we get there pretty much everyone from the 21st is there Platt says:]

"Okay guys we still have a job to do. Burgess and Montez you two stay with the family. Get them whatever they need especially the Commander and Nolan got it?"

"Yes seargent."

"Everyone else get back to work."

[I sit next to Lexi she's wearing one of Hank's jackets too I say:]

"Where'd you get that?"

"Grandpa gave it to me. I was wearing it the night I met Grant. I've always loved this jacket. Are you okay?"

"Thank you for staying with him until I got here."

"Gram you didn't answer my question. Are you okay?"

"Yea. I'm okay sweetheart."

"If it makes you feel any better Dylan and Kenzie are in there."
