"Uh, I think he's already there..."Tino said standing up. I followed Tino and we talked about the past days so my viewers could catch up. Once we got to the stage I stop filming so the guys could get into the zone then I could film. Once they where all set up Tino started the begging to This Ones For You. I leaned up again the wall that was behind me and whispered/sang the song until Nick caught me and ran over. He sat next to me and flashed me a smile, which I threw back.
"Is today a day off for you?" He whispered
"Yeah, I thought I'd do a vlog for my channel and hang out with the guys." I whispered back not taking my eyes off of the guys.
"Well, there's this party tonight. Everyone is gonna be there, you should come."
"Is their alcohol involved?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Then I can't go. Seeing alcohol or drunk people trigger me..I guess that's the word."
"What do you mean?"
"My father was a raging alcoholic and would hurt my mother and I, so I have a huge fear of alcohol."
"I'm sorry to hear that..I feel like an idiot for asking you.."
I turn to face him and smile.
"It's okay, you didn't know." He returned my warm caring smile and we watched the rest of their practice lip-syncing to each other, while I filmed it. When it was over Nick had to go back to the tent. Alan ran over and hugged me, which caused me to whisper '18' under my breath. We all talked and Austin and I exchanged happy glances almost six times. Then it was time for the actual show. Everyone was piling in, smiling wide, and taking pictures. I was bored so I grabbed a microphone and went out on the stage and sat down on the edge. I pulled out my camera and clicked record.
"I'm bored." I said into the microphone causing people to yell things
"Ya' know what would make my boredom go away?" Then there was various what's, or random things that caused me to laugh.
"Singing a song with you guys. How about..hmm...I think you would all know this one." I laughed at what I was about to do, and stood up.
"Squidgy la la la!" I sang and the crowd sang along. After five minutes of that I fell on the floor laughing. The guys had two more minutes and I decided that was my time on stage.
"So, I have two minutes left and then you get the see the people you came here for." Screams from the crowd.
"I want someone to yell the first thing that comes to mind and I'll say what it reminds me of, so on and so forth."
Then a male voice yelled out 'cocain'
"Alan ashby." I stated
Then a high pitched female voice yelled 'romance'
"Okay, right when you said that the first thing I thought was d*ck!" I laughed. I felt a presents behind me but before I could look Austin's head was resting on my shoulder.
"Love?" He asked
"An unbreakable bond."
I smiled and then stood up. I waved bye and went back to sitting against the wall. I watched all of the set, and then Austin went to speak.
"I want to dedicate this song to someone." He smiled into the microphone looking down at his feet. Then he started singing Swing Life Away. He wasn't yelling or screaming, he was actually singing...
"Am I loud and clear, or am I breaking up?
Am I still your charm, or am I just bad luck?
Are we getting closer, or are we just getting more lost?
I'll show you mine if you show me yours first
Let's compare scars, I'll tell you whose is worse
Let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words." Austin smiled and looked over at my direction.
"We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end,
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand
I've been here so long, I think that it's time to move
The winter's so cold, summer's over too soon
Let's pack our bags and settle down where palm trees grow." He then reached his hand out and gesture for me to take it, so I did.
"I've got some friends, some that I hardly know
But we've had some times, I wouldn't trade for the world
We chase these days down with talks of the places that we will go.
We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end,
I won't cross these streets until you..." I looked down at my feet, and he put two fingers under my chin and smiled at me.
"Until you hold my hand...until you hold my hand. show you mine if you show me yours first
Let's compare scars, I'll tell you whose is worse
Let's unwrite these pages and replace them with our own words
We live on front porches and swing life away,
We get by just fine here on minimum wage
If love is a labor I'll slave till the end,
I won't cross these streets until you hold my hand. Swing life away, Swing life away, swing life away."
I felt my face get bright red as I noticed I was still holding his hand. The crowd was screaming, but instead of having the 'special romantic' moment we where supposed share like in the movies, I started to cry and I ran off stage.
"I'm sorry," I whispered running past a bunch of busses.
