It's been 3 months since my wedding day. I was in bed rolling over for what felt like the 100th time.
"Are you kidding me Auora or Grey!" I whispered
"Babe, it's okay. 3 more months."
I nodded, and then my phone rang. I picked it up and heard an exited-panicked voice.
"KENDRA'S IN LABOR!" Miles yelled.
I slipped on a long black shirt and jeans, and then Austin drove us to the hospital. We had to wait outside, and that was the most nerve racking thing. Kendra was a miracle baby, her mom had tried and tried and then Kendra came. The same with Kendra, try and try and now here's her baby. Then I heard a faint baby crying from the room and hugged Austin. We where then let into the room, but it wasn't the normal atmosphere. Not happy. No, all the nurses where scrambling to keep Kendra's vitals in check. One nurse was working on the baby. I stood there in horror until the nurse with the baby got my attention.
"Give him to her."
I nodded and walked over to the pale sweaty Kendra who laid on the bed. I put him in his arms and she smiled.
"Is it a boy?" She asked
"Yes, what's his name?" I softly said
"Phoenix."
Then Miles was given the baby, and they rushed Kendra out of the room. I leaned against the wall holding onto my stomach, crying. Austin hugged me and did everything he could, but I was so hormonal and this whole situation...
Two more hours later and we where informed that Kendra is in critical condition. She had severe bleeding after Phoenix's birth, and was still bleeding. She would probably not make it. I waddled into her room and sat down on her bed.
"I know I'm going to die."
"Don't say that..."
"It's true, I just want you to take care of Phoenix and Miles. Try and get Miles with a nice girl, and when Auora or Gray comes out I want Phoenix and he or she to get a long nice. Look out for each other, just like we did."
I then started sobbing. This couldn't the happening.
"I love you, Kendra."
"I love you too, Emily."
Beep. Beep. Beep. Beep. Beeeeeeeeeeeeep.
Silence.
Complete silence.
After the whole funeral thing I told Miles what she said to me, and he agreed. The house next to ours was for sale, and I'd set him up on some dates. When they moved in I felt safer knowing they'd be right there. Now, it was my turn. Yes, I'm still grieving. You have to be happy however, you just created life and I explained that to Miles. In great detail too. If he drank, ignored Phoenix, killed himself. He cried during most of it, so I made him a promise. He better keep it. It was my due week.
December 19.
It rang in my ears over and over. December 19th, was tomorrow. We decided to not look to see what gender it was, 'cause no matter what we'd love them anyways. But of course, it didn't go as planned.
"Austin!" I yelled panicked.
"What?!" He yelled running into the room.
"I either peed myself....or my water just broke."
His eyes widened, and he grabbed the stuff we kept by the door just in case, and took me to he car. And no, it wasn't pee. I was rushed into the hospital, and let me tell you...IT WAS THE WORST PAIN I HAVE EVER FELT. It was like someone crawling in my insides, scratching everything, but getting stuck at the same time. I was squeezing Austin's hand and he was calming me down. Then the final push. I clenched my eyes shut for a long time, and then I heard it.
Waaa
I opened my eyes and started crying. Placed on my arms was a beautiful baby girl. Her hair was this light brown, and she had bright blue eyes just like I have. Already you could tell she had Austin's nose.
"Auora it is." I smiled lightly touching her nose. Austin was in complete awe as he pulled out his phone and took a picture. I knew at that moment, she would be a little rebel, but she would love us. I looked up at the ceiling as she was taken out of my arms to get washed off and stuff, and I smiled.
"I did it, Kendra, Mom, Jake."
Then Austin curled up next to me in the hospital bed.
"How does it feel to be a dad Mr. Carlile?" I asked
"The best feeling ever, how does it feel to be a mom Mrs. Carlile?"
"It feels like my insides where just ripped in half."
Austin chuckled and I snuggled into him. Life is so unexpected at times. I'm keeping my promise to Kendra. No matter what.
•two weeks later•
I haven't slept for days. Auora was a quiet baby, but I was so worried. I've been helping Miles out, and doing everything I can. Austin was in the studio at the moment, and I was feeding Auora.
"You are so cute," I smiled down at her. She gave me a small smile and made a little noise. Today Tony was coming over to see his niece. Since my only family was my brother, I decided her family wouldn't be blood. There was a knock on the door, so I went to open it. He was wearing a red hat, a black tank, and jeans. He smiled wide and pulled me into a hug, trying not to squish Auora.

"She looks so much like you!" He smiled

"She looks so much like you!" He smiled. I smiled back and welcomed him in. I noticed he was carrying a bag. Once we got to the living room, I put her in Tony's arms, and then opened the bag. There was these cute ptv shirts for her, and a punk teddy bear.

"These are so cute, Tone!" I sleepily smiled

"You haven't slept much have you?"

"No, I'm so worried."

"Just lose your eyes and if anything happens I'll wake you up."

I did what he said and drifted off into some much needed sleep. My mother always said she wasn't scared of stuff like horror movie, she was scared of what would happen to her kids. That's what I was feeling right now. I was afraid if I fell asleep Austin wouldn't hear her crying, and I wouldn't and then she'd starve or get a horrible rash. I know I'm over thinking everything, buy I just want the best for my child. I was shook away. I stood up, and yawned. Tony stood there with a crying Auora in his arms.

"What time is it?" I asked

"5:00."

"It's her feeding time."

I grabbed what I needed, and put her under this thing so it doesn't show my boob. Tony had to go, so I said goodbye. After Auora fell asleep Austin walked into the door. He wrapped his arms around my waist as I made us dinner. He planted a kiss on my cheek, and then picked me up. I squealed, and then started to laugh. He spun me around, and sat me down on the counter.

"What are you doing?" I asked as he finished making our dinner. When he didn't answer I got bored and I started singer This One's For You, and swinging my legs back and forth. Then he unexpectedly grabbed my legs, and picked me up bridal style. He laid me on the couch, and then kissed me.

"You're awful loving today." I smiled

"I just love you so much."

"I love you too."
