Jason's pov

I smile and stare at the ceiling, my hand lacing with hers. Best sex ever. God this girl. I kiss her forehead then fall back asleep.

*later*

When I wake up, she's not still laying beside me. Her robe is at the door. Huh? I open the door confused. "Girl, where'd ya go?" I walk outside since the house is empty.

Miranda's pov

I smile, watching him walk out from my perch on the barn roof. "Baby?" He calls, cupping his hands around his mouth. I cover my mouth to stifle a laugh then I jump from the roof onto Jason's back. He screams in surprise. "I should've known by now." He says, shaking his head. I shrug and lay my head against his back. "Save a horse ride a cowboy." I whisper. He sets me down and turns around. "You really are ready to have a baby?" "Of course." He smiles then and kisses me softly. He backs me up against the barn door.

*a few days later*

Cole comes by to visit. "They caught the vandals." He says. Jason was making fried balogna sandwiches for lunch and he dropped the frying pan hearing that news. "Where is this motherfucker? I'm gonna give him a beating he won't soon forget!" He gripes, punching his fist. "Actually 3 motherfuckers and you can't do shit. They're locked up." Jason grumbles something inaudibly. "I don't think prison is a good punishment. They get a roof over their head, three square meals. It's more of a free hotel." I gripe crossing my arms. Both boys laugh. "Sweetheart you've never been in jail. You gotta keep one eye open at night." My husband says. I turn around. "And how would you know?" His face gets red and he retreats to the kitchen. Me and Cole both follow. "Jason, have you been arrested before?" I gape shocked. He spins around. "No way! Nothin' like that! I swear. Anyway Cole, ya want a sandwich?" "Jason!" I say annoyed. He sighs. "Ok Ok I'll tell you. It's just embarassing!" He says then takes the sandwich out of the pan. "I may have sorta gotten into that orange is the new black TV show." He says, putting mayo and tomato on his sandwich. Me and Cole look at each other. I force myself not to laugh. "I thought it was something bad, man! You scared the shit outta me!" Cole says, patting his back. He smiles, embarrassed. "It's just not a guy show so I thought you'd make fun of me." He shakes his head. "Dude, I have a lot of respect for you after everything you've done for my sister." His eyes go wide. "Wow. Cole that means a lot." He smiles. I am shocked to see tears hint at his eyes. He hugs my older brother. Wow.

*later*

Me and Jason were laying in bed after another heated round of trying to make a baby. My hair was matted to my head from the sweat. "Hey babe," "Yeah?" "Tell me a story from when Cole was taking care of you." I glance at him. "You make me think I already have a kid." He laughs. "It's just... I feel like I don't know you at all. You've got a lot of secrets locked up." I sigh. "There's some things best left unsaid." He hugs me. "I wanna know everything there is to know about you." I turn over, staring up at him. "Well, after mom and dad passed, I was obviously depressed. Cole loved to cheer me up by doing puppet shows." He smiles. "I love that brother of yours." "You do?" "Yeah he took such good care of my baby girl. Now I'm the one who gets to take good care of his baby girl." Tears come to my eyes. "Jason, you make life so much easier." He hugs me tight. "Dallas without you, I might as well be dead."

*a few weeks later*

"Three weeks later in the front porch light taking forty five minutes to kiss goodnight, I hadn't told ya yet but I thought I loved ya then!" I was listening to Brad Paisley's song then. I love this song. Jason's truck pulled into view. I smiled and met him by the front door. "Now you're my whole life now you're my whole world, I just can't believe the way I feel about you girl!" He sings when he opens the door. "Huh how'd you know?" I gape shocked. He looks at me confused. "What do you mean?" "I was just now listening to that song!" His eyes go wide. "Ooh creepy, Dallas, I was just listening to it in the truck." "Ooh that's weird." He shrugs and takes his hat off, raking a hand through his sweaty hair. "So what's the plans for dinner?" I shrug. "Maybe there's something in the fridge. I'm not up for eating right now. Feelin' a little nauseous." I say with a slight smile.

Jason's pov

My eyes go wide. I take off running to the kitchen and sling the fridge open. My hands are shaking. On the second shelf, there's a baby's bottle with a note inside. I shakily grip it in my hand and turn around. "B-Baby.... Is this..... Is this really happening?" I gasp. Silence. I twist the cap off and pull out the note. "Maybe we should have poultry cause in nine months the stork is bringing a baby!" I shout, reading it aloud. It flutters to the ground.

Miranda's pov

I wipe the happy tears. He runs out of the kitchen, a hand gripped tight to the doorframe. "Dallas! We're gonna be parents!" He gasps. I nod. He runs to me and kisses me hard. "I love you Dallas!" "I love you too Jay."
