Your POV

"Ngh," I groaned as I fell off the bed. Why does this always happen to me? I used the bed as leverage to get and headed upstairs, the smells of bacon and eggs making my tail wag. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

"Hey Zoey. That smells good," I greeted as I walked into the kitchen. "Good morning Levin, Malachi." I pushed Levin in and sat next to him. I smiled at Malachi and started to eat the bacon and eggs Zoey served me. Aphmau came down finger combing her hair. Her Amber eyes widened when she saw me. I just grinned and continued to stuff my face with delicious bacon.

"Oh! (Y/N). I'm sorry, I forgot you were here. I've just been having trouble sleeping," Aphmau said.

"It's fine. Maybe you should ask Zoey for help sleeping." I gestured to the blonde elf who nodded. "Now how about you have some eggs. They're good, right Malachi and Levin?" They nodded vigorously and continued to eat.

"No thanks. I have to check around the village. See you later," Aphmau said as she hugged Zoey and kissed Malachi's and Levin's foreheads. Awwww.

"I better get going as well. Thanks for breakfast Zoey." I got up, cleared my plate, and left. I walked to my house, greeting people I knew along the way. I entered my house, grabbed some conveniently placed wood from a chest, and started making furniture. I made a white couch, small table, easel, and stand for music to go in the basement. I made another chair to go with the table and chair I did have, and some shelves on the main floor. Upstairs I had my bed and new bed frame, along with a dresser to keep my clothes. I hung and closed the pale (F/C) curtains before heading downstairs. I headed next door to Kawaii~Chan's and asked her for some sugarcane.

"Kawaii~Chan is sorry, (Y/N)~Chan, but she doesn't have any. (Y/N)~Chan could probably find some by the shore though."

"Okay. Thanks for the tip. If I'm not back by nightfall, tell someone."

"Kawaii~Chan will. You can count on her." I left and headed to the shore. I looked right and left and decided to head to the right towards Kiki's barn. I scoured the shore to no avail. I slowly crept along the shore, peering into the reeds and grass, hoping for a glimpse of sugarcane. I had reached the Sacred Oak and still had no sugarcane. But a snap of a twig and a sword to my throat made that the least of my worries. My ears were flat against my head and my tail went limp. I whimpered. The figure, a man wearing a black hoodie and scarlet bandana, stayed silent.

"W-What do you want from me?" I asked, cursing myself for stuttering. It's best not to show weakness against an enemy.

"Are you the lord of this village?"

"No. B-But the lord is really n-nice. She actually cares for her village and the villagers." As I finished the man stepped back into the light, allowing me to get a better view of him.

   "Who are you?" I asked.

"Someone you'll hopefully never see again." And just as suddenly as he appeared, he disappeared. I headed back to my house, shaken, and the sugarcane all but forgotten. When I got home I closed the door behind me and slid to the floor, my head on my knees. Who was that guy?
