Your POV

I sat up, rubbing my eyes. I had just awoken from a nap, and I had no idea how long I was asleep. I sighed remembering how my sister was planning to split us up later. I glanced at the guards, and they were different from before my nap. I looked at the others, and they looked tired. Travis was already asleep, and Garroth kept closing his eyes for long periods of time. Katelyn was leaning against a wall with one knee to her chest and her head resting on her knee, her powder blue hair covering her face. Garroth eventually nodded off, and I thought I was alone with my thoughts.

"What are you thinking about?" a voice asked, startling me. "Sorry (Y/N), I didn't think you would be so deep in your thoughts."

"It's okay Katelyn," I said, joining her laughter. I turned to look at her, and she was looking at me sideways. She sat up and pushed some hair out of her face.

"Well, what were you thinking about?"

"A lot of things." I paused, and Katelyn gave me look saying to continue. "Like if and how we can escape, how we're going to be split up, if Laurance can be saved and return to normal, if Kawaii~Chan will bake us a cake after we get out of here, if my youngest sister is still alive-"

"Wait, back up. Were you wondering if Kawaii~Chan would bake a cake?" Katelyn interrupted.

"Yeah.... why?" I asked. Katelyn laughed.

"It was such a trivial matter compared to everything else happening."

"I guess you're right. But seriously, I want some of Kawaii~Chan's cake right now."

"Me too."

"What are we 'me too'-ing?" a yawning Travis asked.

"If Kawaii~Chan's cake would be good right now." I replied.

"Of course it would be, this is Kawaii~Chan's cake we're talking about here," Katelyn scoffed. I chuckled.

"Yeah, Kawaii~Chan's cake does sound good right now," I said.

"But not as good as tacos," Travis added. Katelyn face palmed.

"Tacos?" She asked. "You're comparing Kawaii~Chan's delicious cake to tacos?"

"And you're saying tacos are better?"
I asked, backing Katelyn.

"Well- uh, yeah?" Travis squeaked, huddling in a corner. Katelyn glared at him for a good minute and a half.

"Ok Katelyn, I think you can stop scaring him now," I said.

"Oh, I'll scare him as much as I want," Katelyn replied.

"Help. Me," Travis whimpered, stuck under Katelyn's death glare. If looks could kill, Travis would have died at least fifty times. I laughed, and Garroth gave me a half smile. I don't know when he woke up, but he did.

I heard a rattle and turned around, looking at the door. Valery pulled the rusty key out of the lock and allowed the door to swing inwards, causing me to scramble out of the way. Behind her stood Becca, Connor, and Laurance. They entered and grabbed one of us roughly by the arm. The others were led out while I stayed in the cell, Laurance refusing to let me go. I struggled against him, trying to follow Garroth, Katelyn, or Travis. I called for the others, and they said not to worry. That didn't help, especially when my cell door closed, making it clear that I was alone. I turned on Laurance who was laughing at me. He had let go of my arm when the door closed, but t didn't matter now. I was too late, and Laurance was laughing at me, mocking me.

I hate daylights savings time. There's literally no point to it. All it does is make everyone super tired, more so than usual. Peace out, and have a great morning/day/week/month/year/decade/life.
