<><><><><>Laurance's POV (The POV pattern has been thrown out the window. Sorry about that)
Leaving Katelyn, Travis, and (Y/N) behind, I started walking back to my room, setting a brisk pace. By some luck I managed to avoid running into anyone, literally or figuratively. Opening my room door, I closed and locked it as soon as I entered. I leaned against the door and wondered where I should rest. Garroth was stretched out on the bed, and I didn't want to disturb him. I settled into a corner of the red adorned room and tried to relax. I took calming breathes, and realized I was exhausted. Garroth didn't seem to be waking anytime soon, so a small nap wouldn't hurt. Closing my eyes, I allowed the warm darkness to drag me away from reality.
*~*~*Dreamland*~*~*
I was lying in a meadow, the vast blue summer sky devoid of any clouds. Putting my hands behind my head, I closed my eyes and enjoyed the sun's warmth. Feeling a shadow cover my face, I opened my eyes. I was greeted by a (F/C) wolf peering curiously at me. I smiled gently and reached up to pet them, scratching behind their ears adorned with a flower crown. They gave a doggy smile and laid down next to me. I returned my hand to its place behind my head and looked over where the wolf had sat. (Y/N) now laid there, looking magnificent in her outfit and flower crown. (Go ahead, choose your own outfit that you like. Enjoy it) They beamed brightly at me, and I grinned in reply. As the sun sank below the horizon, the sky was painted with yellows and oranges, streaked with pinks and reds, and faded into dark purples and blues. A coolness came with the darkening twilight, and I moved closer to (Y/N). She cuddled closer to me with a small blush. I smiled, and watched as the stars, one by one, flickered into existence. Just staring at the sky, I didn't realize how cold it was until I shivered involuntarily. Standing up, I saw that (Y/N) was fast asleep. I picked them up bridal style and headed in the direction (Y/N) had come from as a wolf. Stepping away from the meadow and into the woods, my vision started to change. The sky was still darkening, so I didn't think much of it. As I kept walking, though, it became undeniably clear that something wrong was happening. Everything was turning red the farther into the woods I went, and it was becoming progressively warmer. I blinked, and the trees were replaced with maroon bricks. Grass morphed into hot netherrack. The star spangled sky became a red ceiling scattered with glowstone. Stopping, my eyes widened in horror. Looking behind me, there was no forest, only a pool of bubbling lava. Suddenly thrown off weight, I stumbled forward, nearly dropping (Y/N). They moved in their sleep, but they didn't wake up. Looking up, I noticed an all too familiar altar. Glancing down at (Y/N), I knew they would recognize it as well. Stumbling forward again, I wondered what was pushing me off balance. I caught myself, only to be shoved by an invisible force towards the table once more. Realizing what was going to happen, I tried to move backwards, but there was an invisible wall. I was pushed forward once more, almost falling to the ground. Wincing, (Y/N) still hadn't woken up, and I wondered if they would. Shoved again, I regained my balance. I felt the blood drain from my face as I estimated how many times I could be forced forward before reaching the altar. One shove, maybe two, and that would be all. I stumbled again, but we hadn't yet reached the edge of the altar. I stood there, unable to move backwards and unwilling to move forwards. I waited to see what would happen next, if that final shove would ever come. (Y/N) stirred once more. I risked a peek behind me and found myself falling forward, dropping (Y/N). I fell onto the floor, but (Y/N) fell onto the altar, which instantly wrapped metal restraints around her wrists and ankles. I rose to my feet and tried to take the restraints off of (Y/N) just as she woke up. She looked around, getting her bearings, before focusing her gaze on me. She glared at me with anger and sadness.
"Why did you bring me here again?" she asked quietly. "Why are you working with them?"
"What? I'm not-"
"Yes you are. Why else would you bring me to the Nether and trap me like this?" (Y/N) demanded. I was confused. I didn't lock her here. Then I realized how it looked from her point of view.
"I'm sorry, but this isn't my fault-"
"YES IT IS! IT IS YOUR FAULT!" (Y/N) screamed, tears starting to form. "I TRUSTED YOU! YOU..." She struggled to find the right word. "You... you MONSTER!" I stepped back, allowing my hair to cover my watery eyes. I failed to protect someone innocent, so I had failed as a guard. I turned away from (Y/N) and started walking away.
"I HATE YOU!" she screamed. Those were the last words I heard her scream at me.
*~*~*Back to Reality*~*~*
I woke up feeling hollow. That dream wasn't real, I assured myself. Looking up, I noticed Garroth stirring in his sleep so I went to stand and check in him. As I reached the side of his bed he slowly sat up, coughing.
