Cancelled Fairy Tales
We all know that in the past when Disney was at their lowest, they tried to bring back the fairy tales in they're movies. Here's a list of fairy tales they tried to make movies out of.
The Wizard of Oz: Originally Walt Disney's follow-up to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, but the film rights were lost to Samuel Goldwyn, who originally intended to make it as a standard musical comedy, with Eddie Cantor as his star. However, Goldwyn ended up selling the rights to MGM in 1937.
Goldilocks and the Three Bears (1963) This proposed feature was to be an adaptation of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears", involving a little girl who breaks into the bears' house.
Little Red Riding Hood (1963) This proposed feature was to be an adaptation of the Charles Perrault's tale "Little Red Riding Hood", involving a little girl who tries to travel to her grandmother, but she is pursued by a wolf. (Not counting Into The Woods)
And
Hansel and Gretel: This proposed feature was to be an adaptation of the Brothers Grimm's tale "Hansel and Gretel", involving a brother and a sister threatened by a cannibalistic witch living deep in the forest in a house constructed of cake and gingerbread.
And that's all. Who knows, maybe they'll see the Disney light again. Maybe, just maybe.
Speaking of Red Riding Hood, I've been given this a lot of thought and decided to do it. I'm going to bring back one of my favorite Wattpad books of all time: The Perks of being a Disney Villain. Now I don't know why the original author deleted the book and their account but they're book was amazing. So, will you, my readers and followers, support me by bringing this fantastic book back on to Wattpad?
