Chapter Twenty - Can't You Tell?

Rey woke up before Ben and saw him still fast asleep . She giggled at his messy hair and his soft snore . Rey cloned stop of him and rested her bare body ontop of his and kissed his nose .

"Good morning Benny" she smiled .

"Morning " he yawned .

"Happy?" She asked with a grin on her face .

"Can't you tell?" He asked his face still blank.

"Smile" she then moved her fingers to make him smile . "I like your smile Benny ... Smile for me"

"No" he stated.

"Smile for me Benny ... Please ? Pretty please?" She begged putting on puppy dog eyes.

He sighed and smiled at her . Rey then pressed her lips against his smile . "Thank you"

"Your welcome sweetheart" he then kissed the top of her head.

"Do you wanna just talk ?" She asked.

"I'd love that" he told her. She smiled and then rolled off him to lay next to him.

For the next two hours all they did was talk about their lives growing up and their dislikes and likes.

"Will you finally tell me ?" She asked.

"Tell you what sweetheart ?" He asked.

"How you got all these beautiful scars" she said running her soft finger nails over one of his scars .

"When I was trading with Luke ... I didn't like how slow he taught me"

"Luke did this to you?!" She asked angrily .

"No ... I ran away from him , refused to train ... I met this other master ... Snoke ... And he said he could let me live up to my full potential "

"And then what?" She asked softly rubbing his shoulder.

"If I wasn't working fast enough or didn't do as he said correctly he'd whip me"

"What ?" She asked .

"He would whip me ... Day and night... He would beat me too... Smack my face and punch my body ... He would deprive me of food force me to stay awake for days on end ... Finally one day Luke had prepared me through the force and I killed him"

"He's a monster for doing that to you... why on earth would he do that to you ?"

"He was angry that my family was in power... He figured he could kill me , ending the bloodline so he would get it"

"How dare he ... Well we don't need to worry about the bloodline "

"Are you saying that your -"

"Heavens no ! Ben we've been married for a week ... I'm not pregnant... Why do you want me to be?" She asked suddenly very aware that she was laying naked next to him.

"Someday but not right now " he said and her face relaxed . "I really like just this ... "

"What ? Spontaneous sex for buying me presents and treating me as your equal?"

"No... Just taking the entire morning just to talk in bed ... No crowns or table rules ... Just you and me close to one another" he brushed his hands through her hair.

"Benny" she gushed and then kissed his lips . "We should really get ready for the day ..." She said .

"Okay... I guess so " he sighed and then grabbed his boxers from the floor and put them on as Rey tied her nude robe that was on the chair .
