Niall woke up Monday morning, feeling gross and tired.He heard his phone ringing loudly,"Hello?"He answered, grumpy.

"Woke you up?"Liam smirked.

Niall's eyes widen, blushing as he realize he had answered it as unattractive as possible."Yeah, sorry I didn't see who it was.I thought it was Zayn or something."

"Don't sweat it,"Liam laughed, making Niall's stomach flutter, he had yet to get over Liam's joyous laugh."I was wondering if you want to get coffee before school?"

"Yeah,"Niall quickly got up, trying to untangle himself from his sheet, stumbling in the process.Breathlessly he said,"I would love to."

"Great!Ill pick you up at seven."

They exchanged their goodbyes before Niall had to run and get ready in under thirty minutes.

After a shower and angrily trying to look cute, Niall waited outside and waited a few minutes before Liam's car pulled up.

Niall hopped inside, smiling at Liam."Hello."

Liam turned to him,"Hey, I was thinking about going to Starbucks' drive thru because we have like ten minutes."

"Yeah, of course."Niall nodded, feeling Liam step on the accelerator and driving swiftly to a near by Starbucks.The drive was silent besides Niall's humming along with some of Liam's decent music, most of it was rap and Niall didn't like it but when Liam play his taste of music Niall smiled and sang quietly.

They pulled up into the drive through, Liam looked at him expectantly, Niall told him his order before Liam ordered for both of them.Once the lady told them their total, Niall reached for his wallet to pay when Liam just simply shook his head."I invited you, I pay."

Niall pouted,"You paid for the last two times."

"Because I invited you last two times."Liam smirked, pulling up to the window.The lady giving them their drinks and Liam gave her the money, telling her to keep the change.

"I swear Liam."Niall playfully threatened,"I'm paying next time."

"Does that mean you're asking me on another date?"Liam smiled smugly.

Niall blush, "I-I m-mean-"He started bashfully,"if you don't want to."

"I would love to."Liam laughed,"You're cute, you know that?"

He didn't know what to say, his throat closing up as he felt his cheeks getting more flushed."S-stop, you're-"

"Making you blush?"Liam smirked.Niall wondered how confident Liam was with him and he was sitting there struggling to keep it cool.

"Y-Yeah"Niall sipped his frappe, hoping it would keep him quiet enough to not say anything stupid.They arrived at school, Liam parked to a similar looking car.When he opened the door, he saw Zayn looking down at him from the truck, his eyes widen.Niall smiled at him weirdly.

Zayn got out of his truck, looking between Liam and Niall."Where's Aaron?"

Liam secretly rolled his eyes, Niall looked at anything but Zayn."Um, I'm not sure."

"Oh, I just thought he would pick you up."Zayn laughed awkwardly, giving Liam a bro hug and walking away with Noel and Jasmin."I'll see you guys later, then."

Both nodded, laughing when they thought their friends were far."That was awkward."

"They still think you're going out with Aaron?"

"I think everyone does."Niall shrugged, adjusting his bag.Liam raised his eyebrows, drinking his hot black coffee, nodding.

"Well we have like a minute left to class , I'll walk you."Liam grinned.Niall nodded shyly, wanting to grasp Liam's hand in his but he didn't because he was scared Liam wouldn't want to.

As Niall approached his first class, Liam grinned at him awkwardly."Is it cool if I give you a hug goodbye?"

Niall giggled,"Yeah it is."

Liam nodded, leaning down and wrapping his arms around Niall's waist as Niall placed his on Liam's upper back, his head hitting Liam's chest.It only last about two seconds before the teacher yelled at all the students to get in.

"I'll see you later"Liam winked, making Niall looked down bashfully as he waved.

During lunch, Niall walked besides Aaron both laughing quietly at what had happened during class.

"I'm telling you, he tried to get at me."Aaron groaned.

"What did he do?"Niall laughed.

"He said ' I know you have a boyfriend and all but we should hook up at maddie's party.' It was gross dude."

"Oh my god."Niall shook his head, trying hard to contain his laugh."I should beat him up."

"Niall,"He said seriously,"He's like bigger than me."

"Yikes."Niall giggled,"Nevermind I'll hand you over."

"That's so rude."Aaron gasped,"Whatever, I'm sure he won't cheat on me."He stuck his tongue out.

"He proposed to cheat on me with him, I think he's fine with cheating."They playfully bantered until they reached the table, where their friends plus Harry, Louis and Liam sat.Both smiled kindly.

"Aye, that's my fries."Zayn yelled as Noel tried reaching for his plates."Theres the love birds."He smirked, taking notice of his friends.

"We were worried Aaron swallowed your face."Noel joked, making everyone besides Liam laugh.

Both awkwardly laughed, sitting down at the only empty bench that was besides Liam and Harry.Liam grinned at him,rolling his eyes as he shot Aaron a look.Niall shook his head, giving Liam a 'he's my friend, fuck off ' look.

"I'm gonna go get lunch,"Niall started getting up.

"I'll go with."Liam smiled.

"You already-"Harry started, Liam smacked his leg, looking around knowing everyone heard.Liam stood up walking besides Niall.The blonde grinned up at Liam, looking back at their friends, who looked at them weirdly, turning  to Aaron and giving him a questionable look.

"I feel so bad for him."Niall laughed, Liam forcefully laughing with him, trying to agree."What's wrong?"

"Nothing."Liam shook his head.

"No, for real?"

"It was nice hugging you and like showing you more than friendly gestures and I know they think you two are dating so I can't."Liam whispered.

Niall tried to understand,"I don't know what to say, Liam.I can tell my friends were"He paused,"Whatever this is. But what about if something happens.Zayn and Noel, together, hurt people."

"Like what?"Liam laughed,"I can take both."

"I don't think so"Niall said quietly,"the last guy I dated, they put in the hospital because he cheated on me and then bullied me about it.I care too much about you, i don't want it to be a possibility."

"I wont do anything for that to happen, ditch Aaron for me?"He smirked.

Niall giggled,"I'll think about it."

Last chapter of the summer I can't, I'm starting school tomorrow and I'm literally crying rn .
