Liam spent the whole weekend, alone, lost for words at what had happened.He loved Niall, I guess you could say he still loved him, but that kiss.The kiss was short, even could be said that it was nonexistent but Liam felt a guilt in his stomach every time he thought of it.For god sake, Niall was engaged, promised to marry someone else.Surely that kiss was nothing much but a rush of emotion that had over cane them, right?

Liam couldn't be more wrong, Niall thought the same thing too.Wishing he didn't do it, knowing he had complicated an already weird situation.But deep down, he didn't regret it, he knew that he put his emotions out on the table.He loves Liam, he tried suppressing that dating someone else yet no where near did that fill the void Liam had left behind.He had to tell Jackson, break it off, even if Liam didn't love him back, it wasn't fair to be inlove with someone other than his fiancé.

Before anything, Niall had to talk to Liam.

Liam woke up from his mid afternoon nap by a loud pounding on his front door.He jumped up,he hated having unexpected visitors especially when he hadn't cleaned from the get together he had previously.As he looked through the peep hole, sighing to see the nervous blonde.

"Hello?"Liam asked cautiously, opening the door.He leaned on the door frame, looking down at him.

Niall grinned shyly, blushing a bit from how nervous he was,"Hey Liam, I wanted to talk about yesterday-"

"Yeah, I think it's best we should."Liam moved back, allowing room for Niall to slip inside.They sat in his spacious living room, on front facing couches.

"Look,I know this complicated things,but I still-"

"Frankly, I don't think it's that complicated.Its rather simple, you're about to get married, Niall.I don't need you to come and tell me that you still love me or whatever.That isn't fair to me, you left Niall.You left."Liam cut him off leaning as he placed both his elbows on his knees , holding his hands together."I need to move on Niall, I can't have this anymore.What happens next time you're upset with me?I don't get to hear from you for another four years?

"That absolutely not fair!You cheated on me!I had to get away."

"I apologized Niall, I begged you to stay before you left, but you went off to the states.Ive grown up since then, and I've grown out of this.Go be with your fiancé.Im sorry Niall, I just can't, I'm too grown up to play like this ."

"I'm not playing, Liam.I know you still love me, just give us one more chance.No cheating ,no lies and no leaving ."

"You're forgetting something.You have a whole other life,I'm not gonna be the man you leave your husband for.Thats not me anymore.Please Niall, don't make this harder on us.Lets leave it the way it was, no need to hurt ourselves again."

"I'll prove it to you, I'll show you that we're worth it.The feelings are there."

"You've been there for less than a month and you're already breaking up with me !"Jackson yelled over the phone, looking at Niall shocked."Can I at least get an explanation?"

"Before leaving,  I had a life here.A life that I tried to forget, but coming back here, there's just so much history here that I can't have another person go through too."Niall tried to be as vague as possible,he couldn't really come out with 'yeah I actually have feelings for my ex, sorry lmao' .

"I thought we were meant to face anything together, you know I'll go through anything with you."Jackson's voice softened, sweetly replying to him.

At that moment, Niall's heart dropped, "I know, I know baby.But I'm not so sure you want to go through this.Moving here has been really hard on me especially with what's been going on."

"But I do, I want to be with you and help you through this.I know it's hard for you, but I'm here.You know I love you."

"Yeah"He sighed, "I do.I love you too."

"I'll get a plane ticket as soon as possible and fly out there.God,"He gasped out,"I should have gone out with you, how could I be so stupid to let you go alone after everything that has happened."

"Don't worry about it, I can't wait to see you."Niall stared at his wall, hanging up the phone before flinging it onto the wall.

How could he have chickened out? All he wanted was to feel Liam's skin on his, the touch, the warmth , the love that radiated from Liam.Yet he managed to worsen the situation, managed to not only push Liam further but bring Jackson closer.

But Niall couldn't stay away for too long, now couldn't he ?

Before Niall could decipher his morals, he was rushing towards Liam's doorstep,knocking rather loudly.Liam groaned before opening the door, being asleep for a few hours and not being ready at all for visitors.

"Niall?"He said surprised,"Do you know what hour it is?"

"I know it's late, I just need to tell you something."Niall said nervously .

"Alright, come in."Liam invited him in.Niall swiftly turned to face him, still standing in the hallway.

"I broke up with him."Niall didn't know where the lie came from, from the small amount of liquor he had consumed before coming over or the desire to be close to Liam.Either way, he didn't give him any time to react, he pressed his lips on his.Placing his hands on either side of Liam's face, bring him down to move their lips in sync.The flame that had been lit up before hand and has been out for a while, had been turned on again.As their bodies collided and their lips moved alongside each other, they were transported back to the times where they would make out in Liam's car in order to avoid their families.

The feelings that were once there hit them in a big crashing wave.
