They sat at Niall's dining room table, eating breakfast as they sadly reminisced about the times they would spend having dinner with Niall's family years back.They spoke about how accepting the family was to Liam, which Niall confessed that Maura up until her death had favored Liam despite what had happened between her son and him.At the time, Niall resented his mom for but now understood what she saw in Liam.

"I know you're probably tired of having this same apology Niall but I hope you'll accept me being sorry for everything I've put you through"Liam lowly said as they started cleaning up the kitchen, "Our relationship failed on my part and I wish my 17 year old self had fought harder because god did I miss you"

Niall look back at him from the sink, smiling as he saw Liam wiping down the counter,"Liam I took our relationship and it's faults to teach me something, you were my first boyfriend, and you taught me all the positive and negative sides to me, which I'll always be grateful for, but please don't apologize for it anymore.Were grown, we've still made mistakes but I just want you to know that I still love you."

Liam set the rag down, wrapping his arms around Niall's waist as he slowly kissed his neck"I love you too,Ni."He whispered into his ears, earning a soft giggle from him.

He turned around in Liams arms, slowly caressing the side of his face as he pulled him closer, connecting their lips as they shared their first intimate kiss in what felt like forever.Although they had been together since Niall came back, now there wasn't a fogginess to their future together.The blonde smiled into the kiss, fluttering his eyes open as he pulled back, admiring Liam.

Sure he had aged, presenting with less baby fat and less of glimmer of innocence in his eyes, but Liam was the same, his big eyed, goofy, big hearted boyfriend that he feels like he could never stop loving.Niall's heart pounded, he didn't know if it was the fear of going through this again or because he understood that his love for Liam would continue no matter what.Which is what terrified him the most.

Niall knew he couldn't stop his feelings for Liam no matter what he did, the fear of knowing that he had complete control over him.Which in ways scared him, but in others he knew that maybe just maybe that this time, Liam wouldn't mess it up and Niall wouldn't complicate thing.

All they could do was trust each other and dive in to the journey that followed after.

"You mean it?"Zayn smiles through the phone, currently cooking his favorite meal for his current girlfriend, Melody.

" Yeah"Niall smiled,telling him the news that him and Liam were back together.It felt like they were back in high school, before the drama, and they were sitting around gossiping about Niall's relationship.

"I mean I pretty much guessed it,"He shrugged, letting out a small chuckle,"I really do hope you guys the best, Ni.But for the wedding, I don't know who to be the best man to."He pretended to sound stressed, making hand gestures although Niall couldn't see him.

Niall coughed,"Zee, literally I can't even think of getting engaged AGAIN"He yelled, hoping Liam couldn't hear him from the shower.

"As if you were actually gonna marry the guy."He referred to his ex.

"I think I was"He sighed, "But that's besides the point, I guess I just wanted to tell you first."He giggled,"Youre my best friend,Zayn.Youll always be"

"I will literally cry right now,"Zayn squealed, in a manly way of course,"But I want you to know that I love you and support throughout all your choices, okay?Now I have to go, Melody is about to be back from the grocery store.Please don't try to have too much makeup sex,kay? love ya!"He hung up quickly before Niall could even respond.

Currently they laid in bed, cuddling as they wordlessly looked at each other.Liam couldn't imagine some anymore handsome that Niall, admiring his big blue eyes and soft features, running his hands over Niall's jaw.

Nothing terrified him more, was to let him in.To finally proving himself of loving such a man.To allow himself to love him and accept that Niall loved him back.

In high school, all he wanted was a to have sex with as many people that would allow him to.Go around and flirt with anyone and know that he'll be lusted over.But now, he's matured, he was ready to settled down, and he wanted to with Niall.

Everything about him was the opposite of what Liam was looking for at the age of seventeen, but now? He was the only thing he wanted.Niall was the man he wanted to be with, build a life with, die in the arms of.

Before he could even realize it, Liam noticed the small trail of tears rolling down his face as he looked up, noticing a concerned Niall."What's wrong, baby?"

"I just love you so much, it angers me to know that it's taken this long for me to finally show it."He spoke, watching Niall smile as he placed a small his on liams cheek, disrupting the tears that fell down.

"Sure I may have wanted you to say these words when I was seventeen but I'm glad we're realizing now, I love you too Liam.Before it wasn't our time but I'm glad we've came back to each other."

"Please,"He placed his forehead on Niall's,not finishing his sentence, feeling Niall nod as he understood what Liam was saying.

The smaller one of the two angled his head upwards, connecting his lips with Liam.Moving the lips in sync as Liam snaked his hand inside Niall's shirt, rubbing small circles onto his back, drawing him even close than he was before.

"I'm madly in love with you and I don't think I'll ever get tired of saying it."
