Calum and Keely had now survived their first years of high school. Ever since that night before they graduated primary school in 2007, they had been a couple. At first, they weren't sure what it meant, as they were only 12, but now; 4 years on they were in year 10 a few years away from finishing their schooling lives; closer than ever.

Today was Friday, Keely's favourite day of the week. However, today had been possibly the worst day she'd had in forever. First, it was a detention for not wearing her uniform correctly, second; it was tripping over in front of everyone in the corridor as she ran to maths, then after all of that being yelled at for being late; and it only got worse from there. Walking to the bus all she could think about was Calum and how he would make everything better if he had been there. He would have been in detention with her, would have pretended to fall over; looking like they'd done it on purpose and would have taken the blame in maths. But he wasn't there, how could he be? It was an all girls school, and Cal definitely wasn't a girl.

As she found her seat up the very back corner of the school bus, Keely put her headphones on and put Fall Out Boy's new album up as loud as it would go. After that, she settled in for the bus trip, pulling out her phone and text Calum.

KEELY: Possibly the worst day of my life :(

CALUM: What happened? :( :( Love you xx

KEELY: Don't even know where to begin. Love you too. x

CALUM: Chin up beautiful, it's Friday; and no one is allowed to be sad on a Friday. :D x

Keely smiled to herself, she had the most wonderful boyfriend, who had managed to make things a little better. The only other thing that would help would be the hugest bowl of ice-cream known to mankind, but that would have to wait until she got home.

30 minutes later, Keely unlocked the her front door, storming downstairs to her bedroom and throwing her bag in the corner of her room. Putting her iPod straight on the dock she continued to play her music; this time a playlist that Calum had made her of all of their favourite songs. ' I Miss You' by Blink 182.  Of course, she thought to herself. Perfect song for this current moment. It had been 2 weeks since she saw Calum as they were both studying for end of year exams. She angrily skipped to the next song and stormed back upstairs, straight to the freezer. However, once she opened the freezer door, she discovered that there was no ice-cream. Slamming the freezer door, she groaned, "Urgghhh! Mum, why can't you have done the food shopping todaaaaay?! I am having a mental break down here." Of course no one replied to her, as her mum was at work for the night.

Suddenly the doorbell rang, breaking her from her angered thoughts.  Slowly, she walked to the door, opening it to the one face she had wanted to see in weeks.

"Cal!" She screamed, engulfing him in the biggest hug.

He laughed, hugging her back and giving her a sweet kiss on the forehead.

"Hello to you to Keels" He laughed once more. "I don't think I've ever seen you more excited to see me."

" I don't think I have been this excited to ever see you!" She squealed in delight.

He smiled, glad he was able to brighten her day.

"Why didn't you just let yourself in? You have a key." She questioned.

"I know, but I just wanted to surprise you" He said, grabbing her hand and leading her back into the house.

This time it was Keely that gave him a kiss, standing on her tippy toes to reach his lips. This boy just continued to grow she thought to herself.

She sat down at the table, waiting for Calum who was now rummaging around in the kitchen.

"Typical." She stated.
