When We Said Forever.

Chapter 6

~ Calum's Point of View ~

Walking up to Luke's door, I was nervous. What if this new drummer was too serious about everything?

I mean, us boys liked to have fun and muck around in our covers. All the 'What if's' swam around in my head, mixed with thoughts about Keely, I felt so bad for leaving her this morning, after having such a good night. I sighed, ringing the door bell.

"Well, here goes" I thought to myself, just as my bestfriend opened the door.

"Luuuuuuke, bro!" I shouted.

"Caaaaalum!" He yelled back, pulling me into a manly hug.

After we had greeted each other, we began walking to the room we usually rehearsed in.

"What's he like mate?" I asked Luke.

"He's pretty sick, nice guy. We're yet to test his drumming skills, but surely his gotta be better than Michael. I'm getting sick of that boy playing those bongos" He laughed.

That makes three of us, I thought to myself, my mind wondering back to Keels. I wonder what she was doing at the moment. Knowing her, she's probably retreated back down to her room, listening to our playlist. I decided to send her a quick text.

CALUM: Feeling awful for bailing on you. Promise i'll make it up to you later, we'll do whatever, it's your choice. Love you.

I slipped my phone back into my pocket, just as Luke opened the door revealing Michael and our possible new band member, Ashton....

~ Keely's Point of View ~

My phone buzzed on my iPod dock, but I couldn't be bothered walking over to check it. I stayed put on my bed, scrolling through tumblr. It buzzed once more, reminding me that I had a message to check. Sighing, I rolled of my bed, landing on my feet and walking the short distance to my iPod dock. Smiling, when I realised that Calum had texted me I opened his message and read.

Laughing at him I replied.

KEELY: You're an idiot. I know how important the band is. I understand. Let's go on an adventure!

Hope things with the new drummer are going alright. I wanna hear about it later :) Love you too. x  

She sent it, wondering to herself, how the drummer would fit in with the boys, she had known them basically all her life, and even she could admit that they were a bit of a handful at times.

Stumbling back over to my bed, I decided to nap until later this afternoon when Cal would arrive. Exams had really taken my energy from me!

~ Calum's Point of View ~

So it turns out Ashton isn't actually that bad of a guy, he's a bit goofy and giggles, but is sure to fit in with us lads.  I smiled and patted him on the back as he walked back out to his car. "Rehearsals went well man, you're a sick drummer. Just remember we've got a show next week at the local pub, so we'll probably practice a little more before then, I dunno" I shrugged.

"Okaaaaay, see ya then mate." Ashton said, as he waved goodbye, before loading his Cajon into his car and driving off.  

I turned back inside with the other boys.

"I'm starving" Michael complained making his way into Luke's kitchens and raiding the cupboards.

"Me too" Luke whined before joining Michael in the hunt for food.

"UHUUUH!" Michael yelled in success.

"I have found corn chips!"

"Well I've got cheese, sour cream and salsa in here!" Luke called with his head in the fridge.

"NAAAACHOS!" I yelled back at them.

10 minutes later, the nachos had been demolished by us three hungry boys, sitting out by Luke's pool, I came up with the perfect idea for tonight.

I turned to Luke, who was laying on the banana lounge next to me.

"Lucas, remember that time we went camping?" I asked.

"Yeah, how could I forget? Michael nearly burnt a hole in the tent." He laughed.

"Hey! I did not!" Michael complained from the veranda, causing Luke to laugh even harder.

"Well, I was actually wondering, if you still had that tent?"

"Yeah man, it's in the shed. Why?" He asked.

"I wanna take Keely camping tonight, get her out of the house. Exams have been horrible and she deserves a break" I said.

"You're whipped!" I heard Michael yell from his hiding spot in the shade.

"Shut up Michael" I yelled.

"Go grab it" Luke said, pointing me in the direction, and I stumbled off in search of the tent.

So that's why, I was now at Keely's house, once again, reading to pick her up for our mini camping trip for tonight.

Another short chapter, but hopefully tomorrow mornings update will be longer!
