It had now been two weeks since the wonderful camping trip Calum and I took, full of laughs, love and simply hanging out with each other now that exams were finally finished and school was finished for yet another year.

Today, or rather tonight was going to be a very important day for Calum, as his band 5 Seconds of Summer were playing their first official gig with their new drummer Ashton and as an actual band, and all the boys were quite nervous. I had finally had the chance to meet Ashton, and we seemed to click right away. I was happy for the boys, as they were beginning to follow their dreams, and I was super excited about tonight.

Today had been quite possibly one of the slowest days I had experienced so far, Calum was busy rehearsing and I had nothing to do really, so once again, I found myself sitting in my room listening to music and scrolling through my twitter and tumblr. My alarm went off at 4:30 PM, reminding me to get ready for the gig which would start at six in a local pub, quite close to home. I jumped off my bed, and excitedly ran over to my iPod dock, trying to find an up-beat song that I could get ready to, and settled on 'Dammit' by Blink 182, one of my favourite bands since I could remember.  After I had chosen my song, I walked to my wardrobe, trying to decide what I would wear for tonight. Eventually, I decided on a pair of black jeans, with my favourite navy blue 'Rip Curl' t-shirt, with a simple pair of black vans. After deciding on what to wear, it was time to put on my make up, sitting in front of the mirror, I put on a thin layer of foundation and then moving on to focus on my eyes, applying heavy eyeliner, and a few coats of mascara. How I was going to wear my hair was possibly the most difficult choice of the night, but I ended up just leaving my natural waves now, and braiding my fringe and pinning to the side. Simple, but effective.  Checking myself in the mirror one last time before I left my room, I quickly sprayed myself with some perfume and waltzed upstairs.

"Mum!" I called out, "I'm ready to go!"

"I'll be one second darl, why don't you go and meet me in the car?" She replied.

Sitting in the car waiting for my mother felt like hours rather that a minute. When she finally climbed in, we made our way to the pub. She dropped me out the front, just like we had agreed.

"Now Calum's mum, Joy is picking you both up later right?" Mum asked as I made my way out of the car.

"Yes mum, Joy is picking us up and I'm staying the night a Cal's, I'll see you tomorrow, thank you so much for driving me." I said, closing the door and waving to her as she took off home.

I walked into the pub, trying to find the boys. Usually we wouldn't be allowed in, as we were under 18, but once a month the pub opened up to younger ages for gigs, which happened to be tonight.

I couldn't spot Calum, but I did spot his bestfriend Luke, or rather the six foot giant, at the bar ordering their soft drinks, so I made my way over to him. As I was walking over he noticed me and came jogging over and leading me back to the bar where he picked up his 5 cokes.

"Keels, thanks for coming!" He said.

"You know I wouldn't miss it for the world, Hemmings." I replied.

When Luke and I first met, he was terrified of everyone, barely speaking, but over the years, he has grown comfortable with me and has let me into what Calum calls his 'inner circle'

With Luke guiding me, we walked over to the table in the back that Calum, Michael and Ashton were sitting at.

"Hey Girl!" Michael screeched, running over to me and giving me a tight hug.

"Clifford, get the hell of me" I laughed, slightly punching him in the arm.

Michael and I had always had the best friendship, getting along from the moment we met.

I walked over to Ashton, not wanting him to feel left out, and gave him a hug.

"Hey Keely" He giggled.

"Hey Ash" I smiled at him, finally turning to face Calum.

"Hello to you Mr Calum Hood" I grinned.

"Hello to you, my beautiful girlfriend" He smiled back, smashing his lips against mine.

"Urgh, guys...." Luke stated awkwardly, making us break away from each other, laughing at how awkward Luke could be sometimes... or mainly, all the time.

I sat down next to Calum and joined in with the boys conversation, sipping on the coke that Luke had kindly shouted me. Before we knew it, the announcer for the night was calling the next act ' 5 Seconds of Summer' to the stage. Standing up, and I hugged each one of the boys for good luck, and telling Ashton he would be fine, as he seemed more nervous than the other three.

They walked on stage to a small cheer from the crowd and Luke introduced them.

"Uhhh, Hi, we're 5 Seconds of Summer and this first song we're going to play for you is a cover of Year 3000, we hope you enjoy..." He said before beginning the all to familiar riff of the song, before Ashton joined in on the drums.

"One day, when I came home at lunch time, I heard a funny noise" He sung,

"Went out to the backyard to find out, if it was one of them rowdy boys" Calum begun, my heart instantly melting, like it does every time I hear this voice.

"Stood there with my neighbour, called Peter, and a Flux Capacitor" Michael started, finally joining the boys.

Once the song ended, the audience cheered, and I found myself feeling relieved, they were an absolute hit!

For the rest of the night the continued to play covers and the crowd continued to cheer them on, as I watched on in awe. The boys had worked so hard for tonight, and it was all going so smoothly. I smiled to myself, as Calum introduced the last song of the night.
