When We Said Forever.

Chapter 7

So apparently, I was going camping with Calum tonight. How much notice did he give me? About ten minutes. So now, i was urgently packing everything i'd need for two nights away.

"Caaaal, where are we going exactly? I needa know what to pack" i asked him.

"I cant tell ya Keels, it'd ruin the surprise" He said, leaning back against the headboard of my bed.

"CALUM HOOD!" I shouted. "I have no idea what i need to pack, so please help me out here!"

"Okay! Okay! Calm your farm missy! You'll need bathers, a jacket, shorts, tshirt and underwear. That's about itttt" he says, coming over pulling things out of my wardrobe and throwing them at me so i could put them in my backpack.

After endless tshirts being thrown at my head, i decided on what to pack, and finally zipped up my bag.

"Wooo! We're ready!" Calum yelled grabbing my bag and running upstairs.

Sighing, i followed him, he acted like such a child sometimes, but it was too much fun!

I found him out the front, on his bike, waiting for me to climb on the back.

"I take it we're not going very far then?" i asked him.

"Not far at all, but you'll love it, i promise" he smiled as i climbed on to the bike.

A short ride through the bush later, we came to the lake. As children, Cal and I loved the lake and spent most of our summer there, obviously accompanied by our parents or Cal's older sister.

After parking the bike, we grabbed all our supplies and walked the short trip to the sand surrounding the lake. Looking to my left, i saw that Calum had already set up a two man tent, a BBQ, and had two seats set up around a pit that would later hold a fire.

" This is perfect" i whispered, wondering what had bought this gesture out of him.

"Only for you" He winked, rubbing circles in my hand.

"Cheese ball" i muttered, giving him a slight whack on the arm.

"Hey! That hurt!" He pouted.

"Awww I'm sorry Calum" i said, standing up on my tippy toes to give him a kiss. As i did, he pulled me in closer, deepening the kiss, and grabbing hold of my waist. My hands reached up to play with his hair and i felt him smile into the kiss.

Pulling back, i looked into his eyes.

"I love you Keely" he said, leaning down to peck my forehead.

"And i love you Calum" i said, entwining my hand with his and walking the short distance to the tent, laying our stuff down.

"Sooo what do we do now?" I asked, once all the supplies were set up.

"Well since we have basically the entire lake to ourselves, i saw we swim!" He said, stripping his shirt and running into the water.

I did the same, pulling my dress over my head. Luckily, I was already wearing bathers. I ran in after him, swimming out to where he was waiting, as i approached him, i noticed he had a certain look in his eyes.

"Calum Thomas Hood, you wouldn't dare! I shouted, but it was too late, he splashed me, then swimming the short distance and dunking me.

"Oh you're dead Hood!" I screamed as i resurfaced, swimming over and attempting to tackle him under the water.

This is how the entire afternoon was spend, just fooling around in the water acting like the kids we were deep down.

Once it began to get dark, we finally decided to get out of the lake, running over to our towels and wrapping ourselves up as it was so cold. I sat on the chair, my teeth chattering, i forgot just how cold Aussie summers can get.

"Come here" Calum said, reaching out for me and pulling me onto his lap.
