When We Said Forever.

Chapter 10

"So uhh, this next song is about someone very special to me, she's been there since we were four years old, she's my bestfriend, and well, this songs for her." Calum announced nervously, looking straight at me and giving me a small smile.


This song couldn't be about me, i thought to myself, Calum wouldn't write me a song... would he.


"She sits at home with the lights out" Luke sung, and I instantly knew as Calum always complained about me sitting down in the depths of my room listening to music. He actually wrote a song for me i screamed internally, hoping that my excitement wouldn't show to those that were surrounding me.




They begun to play the chorus, Calum smiling at me during the whole performace.


"Hey, we're takin' on the world,
i'll take you where you wanna go,
pick you up if you fall to pieces, let me be the one to save you,
break the plans we had before,
lets be unpredicable,
pick you up if you fall to pieces, let me be the one to save you"




I smile stupidly to myself throughout the entire song and once it ended, Calum put down his bass and bounded off the stage towards me, circling his arms around my waist and pulling me in for a long passionate kiss.


"So whatdda think?" He asked.


"I absolutely love it!" I sqeualed, "I can't believe you wrote a song about me!"


"You're my inspiration" He said simply, grabbing my hand and pulling me back to the table to where the rest of the boys were now sitting.


We sat down opposite Michael and Ashton, squeezing in beside Luke.


"Well done guys!" I said beaming up at all of them.


There was a loud chorus of "thank you's" and laughter.


"Thank God that is over!" Said Ashton, "I literally thought I was gonna poop myself I was that nervous"




"EWWW!" Luke, Calum and I said, each screwing up our noses. Followed by a "Duuude, that's friggen disgusting" from Michael and then anouther chorus of giggles, mainly Ashton. He had the funniest laugh.


"Who's up for another coke?" Luke asked.


"Yes please"
"Oh yeah man"
"ohmygod yes"
"Yes thank you"


Was heard from around the table, as Luke got up to go and get our drinks.


It was now 11PM and after multiple games of darts, and more cokes, we had all decided it was time to go home. Calum and I said goodnight to each of the boys, and headed out to the front to wait for Joy to pick us up and take us home. Stepping out of the pub, we were shocked to find that it was strangely cold for a summer night at this time in the year. I shivered, and Calum's arms automatically wrapped around me, his head resting on my shoulder.


"Thanks for coming tonight babe"


"You know I wouldn't miss it for the world" I replied. "I am so proud of you boys, you've worked so hard and you deserve success, and judging by tonight, i think you were quite a hit"


"Really?"


"Yes Calum, people loved you guys!"


Calum laughed to himself, "next stop, world domination!" He cheered.


"Slow down there cowboy" I laughed turning around to kiss him on the cheek, just before Joy pulled up and we piled into the backseat of her car.


"Hey kids" She said.


"Hello" we both said at the same time, earning a smile from Joy.


"I always knew there would be something special between the two of you" she said, "99% of the time you're in sync"


"Muuuuuuum" Calum groaned


"Okay, okay. I'll stop" She chuckled as we arrived at Calum's house, heading straight inside, saying our goodnight's and thank you's to Joy for picking us up and walked straight to Calum's room.


I always loved coming to Calum's house, because it always felt like home. I was just as familiar with his room as i was with my own. He collapsed on the bed pulling off his jeans in the process, however they got stuck on his ankles and he complained loudly, making me laugh. Once he finally got the jeans off, he climbed into bed, waiting for me as i walked over to his dresser, pulling out a pair of his boxers and changing into them, then walking over to his wardrobe, to collect his NASA shirt before turning off the light and stumbling blindly to find his bed.


"OUCH!" I yelled stubbing my toe on the side of his bed.


All I could hear was Calum's laugh booming through his bedroom as i finally climbed into bed and cuddled up to him.


"It's not funny, it really hurt" I complained.


"Awww darlin' come over here" He said sympathetically, pulling my body closers to his and engulfing me in his warm embrace.


"You know" he whispered "You always look so hot wearing my clothes"


"Shut it, Hood." I muttered, playfully slapping his chest as his fingers traced patterns into my legs.


"Heeeey! I can't help the fact that I like seeing my girlfriend in my clothes" He said, his tone faking hurt.


"Well..." I said, trying to think of a response. But before I could come up with anything, Calum's lips were once again on mine, instantly shutting off any of my previous thoughts.
