The concert continued like usual and I kept getting looks from the band, like they had to make sure I was still there or even if I was there to begin with. As soon as the concert ended and I made my way back stage I was attacked into hugs from all the guys.
"Jesus Nora." Levi had me first, "Warn someone next time."
I laughed, "Thanks, Levi. I'll keep that in mind."
"Bitch, I missed you." Chris pulled me from Levi and nearly crushed me to death, "Why the hell did you think a note would be the way to tell us you were leaving us?"
"I'm sorry." I gasped between breaths, "I...can't...breath."
"I'd like to keep her alive." Asher called and my heart did a weird jolt in my chest. God I missed this feeling so much. Chris loosened his hold on me but he still held me to him.
He raised his eyebrows, waiting. "Are you going to answer the question?"
I shrugged, "I said I was sorry. What more do you want from me?"
"An explanation."
I looked away from him, closed my eyes and took in a deep breath. "I didn't want to see your faces as I said goodbye. I love you guys too much and it would hurt."
"Aw, Nora." he cooed pulling me back to his chest, "I love you too."
I smiled and enjoyed the hug for a minute before shoving him off me. "My turn." a voice sounded from behind me and then I was swept off my feet. I let out a gasp and looked up to see Ryder looking down at me, his grin stretched across his entire face. "Miss me?"
I laughed and threw my arms around him, "Like crazy." I whispered. He laughed and set me back on my feet.
"Alright, move over losers." Hunter pushed all the guys away from me, "It's Hunter's time."
I smiled. "Hunter time?"
"You're my sister, I should have been first." He shrugged and pulled me in for a hug.
I rolled my eyes. "You were the first, on stage remember?"
He shook his head, "That's not the same thing."
I just laughed and looked around at all the guys. I loved every single person in this room and the fact that they welcomed me back with open arms after leaving for a few weeks without so much as an explanation was incredible and only made me love them more.
My eyes landed on his last. He was staring at me his lips in a straight line, his eyes cold and distant. I moved to stand in front of him and he continued to stare at me, emotionless. He was completely different the the person who greeted me on stage but he was in there. I just needed to pull him out.
I took his hand gently and entwined his fingers with mine. "Let's talk." I whispered.
Asher nodded and squeezed my hand as he led me out of the room. We got into a car that was waiting outside the door and it took us to his hotel. We sat in silence for the ride there, just us holding hands as the city lights flashed by us.
Pulling up to the hotel I noticed the photographers began taking pictures by the flashes from their camera's. I let out a sigh and Asher squeezed my hand again and a ghost of a smile for reassurance. I gave him a small smile and a little nod.
The door opened and the yelling from the photographers increased and so did the flashes. I kept my head down and a tight grip on Asher's hand. Easily we made it up to his room.
Once we were in his room he let my hand go and I felt cold, All that I heard was the soft click of the door as it shut. Asher was pacing by the window with his head down muttering things to himself.
After moments of silence I realised he wasn't going to start so I had too. "Asher-."
"Shh." He hushed me, silencing me with a cold stare. He shook his head as he stopped pacing to stare at me head on. "I waited for you. For three weeks. One phone call Nora, that's it?" His voice shook, "That's what I mean to you?"
"No." I shook my head quickly.
"Then what?" His voice rose slightly, "It couldn't be that hard to pick up the damn phone."
"It was hard." I spoke up my voice rising as well, Asher just shook his head as he turned away from me. I took two giant steps towards him and yanked on his arm as hard as I could to get him to look at me. "It was hard, Asher. I didn't want to hear your voice because I knew the second I heard it I'd forgive you before I figured things out and what good would that do?" I asked and his face was still cold as he opened his mouth to respond but I cut him off.
"It was hell not being around you, everyday I wanted to call you, every second I wanted to be with you but I couldn't Asher. I couldn't." I told him my eyes watering. His face seemed to soften and he blinked repeatedly. "I missed you like crazy. I really, really freaking love you."
"I love you too baby." He whispered and then grabbed me in for a tight embrace. "I just hated how I left things. I'm not mad at you, not at all. I'm mad at myself."
I smiled and buried my head into the crook of his neck. After a few minutes of pure bliss I sighed and stepped out of his arms. I sat on the bed and he stared at me. "What happened? Tell me your side of the story."
"About?" He asked, was he honestly asking that?
"You know Asher." I told him coldly.
He sighed and sat next to me on the bed. He grabbed my hand and squeezed it. "Nothing happened I can promise you that." was the first thing he said and I know it's crazy, but I believed him. I nodded and he stared deeply into my eyes.
"She was the manager that our agent picked. She annoying as hell but we couldn't complain because she's the daughter of the agent. During rehearsals she hung around Levi a lot and became really clingy. Levi didn't show her an interest," I smiled, good. Levi deserved the best and the skank wasn't it. "So she approached me and told me that I was going to help her get him. I told her that I wasn't going to and then she said she was going to make sure to ruin our relationship." He sighed and shook his head, "I tried to help her but she's just a god awful person."
I nodded, "But what about the holding of hands?" I asked as the picture of them holding hands burned into my mind.
"I pushed her away, didn't you see that?" He laughed lightly, "She almost blew up, it was hilarious."
I bit my lip, I had more questions before any of this was okay and I could laugh about it. "At the CD signing in the the lobby, she was all over you."
"Signing?" He asked and then thought about it before he grinned, "Oh that. I made her cry after that, how didn't you see that?"
"What about the taco? You forgot that it wasn't my favorite."
"I'm sorry." He whispered, "I honestly don't know what happened." He grabbed my chin so I could looked at him. "Forgive me?"
I smiled, "Of course. Everyone makes mistakes, everyones entitled to forget once and a while."
"This is why I love you." He kissed my cheek, "anymore questions?"
"Just one." I nodded and he motioned me to go on. "Leading up to the tour you spent late nights away. Why?" This was the answer I feared the most. He stiffened for a moment before he blinked at me. I waited patiently but after a few moments it was clear, he wasn't going to answer. "Asher?" I whispered, my heart breaking.
"No. Nora God no." He quickly told me, "I'd never ever cheat on you. It's not what you think, I swear."
"Tell me." He shook his head, "Tell me or I'll think the worst."
"I can't tell you." He told me softly. I stood up from the bed. Why couldn't he tell me? Why does it all have to be a big secret? "No. Nora don't leave, not again, please." He pleaded. I sighed and looked into his broken face but I knew that I couldn't give in, I needed to know this. "Trust me."
This made me freeze. I trusted him with my life, my whole heart. I remember thinking that our relationship didn't have trust, but it did. We trust each other with our hearts. I needed to trust him not to ruin my trust.
I nodded and he smiled, "You won't be disappointed." He kissed me.
I know, it's not long, but I figued it was better than not uploading at all..
