“Danny, please.” I begged my brother as I held up his tux, “You said you would when I asked you months ago, why not now?”
“Because I decided I didn’t want too. Leave me alone.” He glared.
“Danny. I’m getting married tomorrow.” I sighed trying and failing not to get frustrated.
“I don’t want to be in your damn wedding.” He growled and pushed off from the table and ran down the stairs. I gasped in surprise, since when did he start getting so sassy?
I sighed out and put my head in my hands, why is life so hard?
“Nora?” Hunter asked as he made his way into the kitchen. “Everything okay?”
“Yeah.” I gave him a small smile, “Danny, just refuses to have anything to do with the wedding.”
“I’ll talk to him.” He shrugged getting a glass from the cupboard before pouring himself some milk.
“Thanks, Hunter.” I sighed happily, “I gotta go call Ash.” I told him looking at the clock. Hunter rolled his eyes but smiled, nonetheless.
I picked up my phone and dialed his number. He picked up on the first ring and that made me happy, he knew that.
“Babe, any luck?” he questioned and I heard a happy bark from Max on his end.
“No improvement but Hunter said he’d try to talk to him.”
“I’ll do more than try.” Hunter scoffed and I laughed.
Asher snorted on his end, “I’ll come over and rough him up a bit too.”
I rolled my eyes, “It’s fine, if he doesn’t want to participate I’m not going to make him.” I told both of them, more to Hunter than anything. “Anyway I’m heading home now, need anything?”
“Just you’re sexy ass.”
I blushed, “Bye Asher.”
“I’m going to kill him.” Hunter glared as he looked at me in my reddened state.
“Bye baby.” He laughed, clearly hearing Hunter.
I hung up and blinked pushing away from the table, “Bye Hunter, see you at the dress rehearsal.”
“Tell Asher to keep his hands off you!” He called after me. “At least until the wedding.” I waved that I heard the message but wasn’t really pay attention.
I made it home in record time and let out a sigh. The house looked perfect, as always, and Asher was in the yard playing with Max. He was adorable, they both were.
